The Serving Jesus Passionately branch of our Women’s Ministry has been providing each new woman that joins the church with a prayer journal and information concerning how to get connected in the church. It is our desire to wholeheartedly serve the Lord and to encourage the women of our church to “serve Jesus passionately” both individually and with other believers. Casseroles for Christ provide another great way to minister to people in need. The team has prepared meals for church members to deliver whenever a need is seen in the community. The casseroles are in the freezer located in the gym storage room ready for you to pick up. We encourage you to use this ministry and serve other individuals that are in need. Our next big project will be to prepare gifts for our Endeared Ladies to be given at the Spring Luncheon. Women sharing Jesus globally have a unique opportunity to share Him with other women in different countries and cultures. It is unique in one aspect because many times women in some countries are used to hearing scripture and doctrine only from their leaders or others in authority in the church. Hearing about Jesus one-on-one from another woman, someone they can perhaps more easily relate to, and how He has transformed our lives can be a life changing encounter for them. One example of this would be those who have gone to Moldova Women of Serving Sharing and ministered to the elderly there. These (many are women) apartment dwellers will readily say they are “Orthodox” when asked if they are believers. However, one quickly finds out when discussing what the Bible says about Jesus that they have been told very little about His love and saving grace for them. When they do hear about Jesus, many embrace Him wholeheartedly. Another way women can uniquely be used by God with other women globally is the fact that many of their problems and concerns are easily relatable across cultures. Dealing with husbands, children, other family members, putting food on the table, being a single parent, feeling unloved, wanting a better life; all of those things can be universal concerns among women no matter in what country they may live. Hearing from another woman about Jesus and how He is our “ever present help” and cares for them in every aspect of their lives, gives them a new hope where perhaps they may have given up ever having any. Women who have shared Jesus with women in other countries have noticed how quickly friendly relationships can be formed even in brief encounters. Our unique witness for Jesus can be a role-model for other women that can show them how they too can tell others about Him. We often use the colored bead bracelets with women to share the love story that is the gospel with them. We give them a second bracelet if possible and encourage them to give it away as they tell other women about Jesus and what He has done for them. These are just a few examples of the unique ways women can be used by God to share Jesus, especially globally. Our church will present us Important Dates Ladies Spring Renewal will begin on Wednesday, March 25th through May 6th Time: 5:45–7 at FBC Note: We will not meet on Wednesday, April 8th so people can attend the UMHB Easter Pageant. Women sharing Jesus globally have a unique opportunity to share Him with other women in dierent countries and cultures. It is unique in one aspect because many times women in some countries are used to hearing scripture and doctrine only from their leaders or others in authority in the church. Happy New Year Women of First! Here we are in 2020. As we begin this year there are so many exciting things happening in our church. Please keep this newsletter in a spot where you can check to see what is going on in the life of our church. There will continue to be announcements on The Realm, Sunday Bulletin and the TV monitor throughout the church. Our goal is to provide information in a variety of ways to make sure that women do not miss the information that is important to allow them to participate and stay connected. Our goal is to build a program that helps all of us grow as we strive to Know Jesus Intimately, Serve Jesus Passionately and Share Jesus Globally. As we move forward this year, look to see where God would have you growing as we continue to serve Him together. We would love for you to invite other women to join us as we strive to reach out to the women in our community. If you have any ideas for the Women’s Ministry, please contact Tammy McKee at 254-760-3865. We can look on with great excitement as we see what God has in store for all of us.

What Love Is – The Letters of 1, 2, and 3 John by Kelly MinterMonday Nights at 7:00Beginning January 13thFacilitated by Ronda Leech1007 Terra Alta, Belton

The Letters of 1, 2 & 3 John were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Believers are challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness.

This 7-session study not only reveals the heart of John but also the heart of Jesus. A great addition to The Living Room Series, this study includes recipes and a more relational approach.

Wednesday Mornings at 9:15Beginning January 15th at FBC BeltonChildcare Provided

Precept – Romans – Kay Arthur Facilitated by Kandy Kirkley andPaula-Kay BourlandRoom 256

Part 3- God doesn’t go back on His promises. He can always be trusted. Romans 9-11 is an extended discussion of the subject of God’s sovereignty—election, predestination, and responsibility—focusing on His choice of Israel and His faithfulness to His covenant.****After completing Part 3 then the group will move into Part 4.

Part 4 – Life as a Living Sacrice - The righteous shall live by faith! Do you live out your faith? What practical things can you do to show that you have been justied? Romans 12–16 are very practical chapters! You will learn how redemption, justication, and propitiation enable you to live righteously as you serve God.

The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer Facilitated by Jill Read, Christie Bledsoe and Ayşe ClarkRoom 254

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny.

But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you're tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.

The enemy always fails miserably when he meets a woman dressed for the occasion. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer's inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory.

Moms Together – Better: A Study of Hebrews by Jen WilkinFacilitated by Anne Clemmons, Angel Self and Kathy ThompsonRoom 255

Jesus is Better! In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40).

Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulllment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.

Shoulder to Shoulder

We will kick o our 2020 Shoulder To Shoulder Groups in February. This is a group of 9-12 ladies of various ages that meet together once a month with the purpose of getting to know other women in our church. Groups share some food, a short devotion, prayer needs, not to mention a few laughs and good times together. This has meant a lot to so many ladies. The groups have really bonded and built lasting friendships. Group sessions take place on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Morning and evening sessions are available on both days to accommodate schedules. Last year we had 13 groups with over 150 ladies involved. We will have a sign-up table for EVERYONE to write your name into a group for day and time. Sign-ups will be in the foyer on Sunday mornings and evenings on January 12th and 19th. Reminders will be in the bulletin. Be in prayer for where God wants you to be this year. Call Ronda Leech if there is a problem for you to get there. 254 718-9730.
