Coach’s Corner Coach Nasca is happy to see how far the team has come in just 5 weeks and loves that the swimmers are eager to learn. The Woodley Warrior spirit and cheers have even impressed this seasoned coach! Coach Anna was thankful everyone hung in despite the delays and brought home a WIN!

Holmes Run Acres traveled a short distance to Woodley on Saturday and had a strong showing, winning the meet 230-180. However, Woodley spirit did not disappoint as red, white, & blue was everywhere! Our cheers were certainly louder!

Tuesday night after a few weather delays, Woodley hosted Rolling Hills at home. The voice of Woodley Dive, Mr. Dubas graciously came back to announce a win; 44-21! Several divers made improvements, but none compared to Magdalena Iglesias who in only her second year of diving, doubled her score from last week!

This week we have an A Meet, B Meet, & Dive Meet at home. Come grab a meal at the pool and cheer each other on!

As a parent of two younger Woodley Warrior swimmers, I want to express my gratitude to the teenage Warriors. You have always been so kind to the youngers. They admire you and try to emulate your every move. You have helped make Woodley feel like a family and we are so thankful for that. Please continue to be wonderful role models for our youngest Warriors. They look up to you more than you know!

We simply could not run these meets without the help of parents! The Officials List comes and you have the day OFF! You wear anything other than navy blue shorts & white shirt to the meet and do not make eye contact when you see the Chief Timer walking around dangling a stopwatch on his or her finger. Thank you for stepping up when we need it! This past week Chris Loeser stepped in for Stroke & Turn. She is very familiar with Woodley as a former Team Rep to Coach Nasca, Past President of NVSL, founder of the Mini-Meet and now grandma to William, Kay, & Calvin Loesley.
