  • From the Principal’s Desk... Dear Bulldog Parents,

These past few weeks have not been easy ones for parents, educators and students.

Please continue to be vigilant in monitoring your children for any changes in them that

could indicate anxiety. I was doing some reading this weekend and came across the

article linked below from The Huffington Post. It didn’t have any new information but

did acknowledge the way I am or you may be feeling right now.

CAMPUS OPENS AT 8:35am Recently, we have had more and more children arriving to campus prior to 8:35am.

The school gates are not open and there is no supervision prior to 8:35am. Children

should not be dropped off prior to that time unless they have a scheduled meeting in

which case they should have a pass to enter the building.

Our buses don't arrive until 8:35am. In addition to our car riders, we are finding that

the children who walk and ride their bikes are arriving much too early as well. The

convenience store, adjacent to the school, should not be used for supervision in the

  • PERFECT INVENTORY AUDITS

Every year the School District sends auditors to

complete a physical property inventory. This is an

accounting of every piece of equipment, every

computer and every music instrument. Wilson

recently completed our audit and received an

    exemplary rating.

An exemplary is the highest rating.

Many thanks to our AP, Keith Fantauzzo, Media

    Specialist, Michelle Sanchez and Technology

Specialist, Edna Zayas Colon, for their work in

ensuring accountability for all of our equipment.

    $UPER!

    Congratulations!

    Our Orchestra participated

    in the Music Performance

    Assessment (MPA) last

    Friday and earned straight

    superiors! Thank you Mr.

Tom Fox for all you do for

    the students in your

    program! Parents, see the

    Wilson Facebook page to

    watch the videos of their

    performance.

    The Wilson Science

    Team competed recently

    in the regional

    competition and has

    qualified to move on to

    the state level Science

    Olympiad competition in

    March 2018! Best of

    luck to these talented

    Bulldogs! Thank you

    Coach Antonio Young

    and Rick Ferrebee!
