Dear Bulldog Parents,
As we are sure you are aware, our children do better in school and in life with
involved families. To help us become better connected as a community, the National
PTA has started a program called Schools Of Excellence.
The Wilson PTSA would like to apply for this honor, and to do so we need your help.
Below is the link to a survey to help us gather information on how you, the families,
feel about Wilson Middle School.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the anonymous survey and send it back to us. We
will then use our collective results to set a path forward towards making Wilson an
even better school for our kids and their families. We will keep the survey open until
Thursday, November 10, 2016.

Avid Fundraiser
Our AVID students are selling chocolate bars ($1) from the World’s Finest Chocolate
company. Just in time for Halloween tonight!
Hoops for Hearts
Wilson Bulldogs are supporting the American Heart Association by hosting Hoops for
Hearts on Friday, November 18th. The cost is $20 per child to participate in a 3:3
basketball tournament or to participate in other heart healthy activities that afternoon.
Thank you for Your Support of Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer! A very heartfelt thank you to all who donated to the Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer fundraiser! As a school, we raised $3,395!!! Several of our students and teach-
ers participated in the walk earlier in the month. Thank you for contributing to such a
worthy cause!
LICE ~ It’s That Time of Year! As the weather starts to turn cooler, students will begin wearing sweaters, sweatshirts, scarves
and hats. This is the time of year that we typically see an uptick in the number of student’s with
lice. Please keep this in mind when having groups of students over for parties and sleepovers.

Holiday Helpers! Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go!
Yes, it is early to begin to think about helping others at holiday time; but,
think we must!!
Customarily Wilson helps some of our families with Thanksgiving meals
and holiday gifts in December.
Please help us help our fellow Bulldogs at holiday time.
What do we need? Grocery gift cards, Amazon.com gift cards, and
Target gift cards. With the gift cards we will be able to purchase food
and gifts for our students and their families.
Please send your gift certificate contributions to Mary Frances Cagno in
the guidance office. We thank you so very much.
