    1. Love Builds Warm Nests

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of Burgundy,Hunter Green, Tan, Midnight Blue Yellow for

    beaks.(or your choice of colors.)

    Fine black liner pen for lettering.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Spanish Moss for nestFabric Scraps in a country print for bows.

    Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood and cut out. Drill any necessary holes.

    Measure and Cut roof pieces:(from 1" wide strips)

    Short sides are 6 1/2" long.

    Long overlapping side - add wood thickness. ie:6 1/2" +1/2"=7.Perch is 4 1/2" long.

    Sand all pieces very well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve anaged appearance.Glue all pieces together as shown.

    Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish toseal.

    Add spanish moss for birdsnest.

    Wire sign board to birdhouse and add fabric bows.

    Thats it! This would look great in a country kitchen!

    2. Birdhouse CrateMATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of Burgundy and Hunter Green or your choice of colors.Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Spanish Moss for nest, small dowel for perch if you wish.(not shown)

    Varnish.

    Wood screws of suitable length and size for wood chosen(We used #4 x 5/8" threadfasts.)

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood,cut out. Heart is both pattern and placement guide.Measure and cut base and side slats:(from 3/4" wide strips)

    Base is 8" long, 5" wide.

    Slats are 8" long PLUS 2xwood thickness. ie:8 + 1/2" +1/2" =9.

    Measure and Cut roof pieces:Short sides are 4 1/2" long.

    Long overlapping sides add wood thickness. ie:4 1/2" +1/2"=5.

    Sand all pieces well.Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve anaged appearance.

    Tack all pieces together with glue, making sure everything is square and properly aligned

    before the next step.Carefully screw pieces together. This step is necessary for extra stability and strength,

    especially if the crate will be subjected to heavy weight or use.

    You may find it necessary to drill a pilot hole to avoid splitting.

    Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.

    3. Light Fades Birdhouse

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    Sandpaper

    Small piece of dowel for perch.Acrylic paints in shades of Midnight Blue, Burgundy,Hunter Green Black,White Antique

    Gold or your choice of colors.

    Fine white liner pen for lettering (or liner brush)

    Spanish Moss for bird nest.Twine (or wire) to attach moon and star.

    Old toothbrush or scruffy brush for flyspecking.

    Raffia and country button for bow.

    19 gauge wire for hanger.Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Varnish.

    Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    Using a fine white pen add lettering. (or use liner brush)Flyspeck sign board with slightly diluted white paint to create the appearance of stars.

    Flyspeck all other pieces in a dark brown. (very little!)

    Glue all pieces together as shown.Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.

    Attach a wire hanger through holes.Add moss for birdsnests, perches, and make the raffia bow.

    4. Four Birdhouse Stakes

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.Sandpaper

    Small piece of dowel for perches.

    Acrylic paints in shades of Midnight Blue, Burgundy,Hunter Green, tan,White AntiqueGold or your choice of colors.

    Fine black liner pen for lettering (or liner brush)

    Spanish Moss for bird nests.

    Old toothbrush or scruffy brush for flyspecking.Raffia, fabric scraps, and country buttons for bows.

    5. Birdhouse Trio

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, we used 3/8" stock.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    SandpaperAcrylic paints in shades of Burgundy,Hunter Green,Antique Gold,or your choice of

    colors.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Spanish Moss for nests, small dowel for perches.Varnish.

    19 Gauge wire to join pieces and hangers.

    Small scrap of country print fabric for bows. Country Buttons if desired.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood,cut out,drill any necessary holes, and sand well.

    Measure and cut rof and base pieces for birdhouses(all pieces 1" wide strips)

    *Base Pieces are 4" long. Short roof pieces are 5" long. Long roof pieces are 5" longPLUS the thickness of the wood you are using. IE: 5"+1/4"=5 1/4" long piece for proper

    overlap when joined. If desired, you could choose to mitre the corners of two 5 1/2" long

    pieces instead.Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Flyspeck the stars if you like that effect (slightly diluted paint spattered with an old

    scruffy toothbrush.)Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    aged appearance.Glue on the painted dowel perches now.

    Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.Wire pieces together with the wire as shown in the photo. Make small loophole hangers

    for the ends to hang.

    Glue on some spanish moss on the birdhouses to resemble nests.Glue on frayed country bows on the hearts, and if you wish, an old country button in the

    center!

    Thats it! An adorable swag that goes just about anywhere!

    6. Gathering Place

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    SandpaperAcrylic paints in your choice of country colors.

    (or your choice of colors.)Fine black liner pen for lettering and details.Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Spanish Moss for nest, small diameter dowel for perches.

    Small square stamp or stencil for sign board if desired. (see below for directions to make

    your own stamp)Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood and cut out. Drill any necessary holes.Sand all pieces very well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Apply checkerboard pattern to sign board if desired.Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    aged appearance.

    Glue all pieces together as shown.Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.

    Add spanish moss for birdsnests.Glue on dowel perches, birds, and sign board.

    7. Birdhouse Bookends

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, we used 3/8" stock.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of Burgundy,Hunter Green,& Dark Blue,or your choice ofcolors.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Spanish Moss for nests, small dowel for perches.

    Varnish.Wood screws of suitable size and length for the wood chosen.

    (we used #4 x 5/8 threadfasts)

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood,cut out,and sand well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Flyspeck the pieces if you like that effect (slightly diluted paint spattered with an old

    scruffy toothbrush.)Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    seal.Glue pieces together, making sure they are square and aligned properly before the next

    step.

    Screw bookend pieces together, drilling a pilot hole first to avoid splitting the wood.(upright piece butts up against bottom piece, it's not on top of it!)

    This step is necessary if the bookends will be subjected to heavy use.

    Glue on some spanish moss on the birdhouses to resemble nests.

    8. Birdhouse Welcome Raffia Braid

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood in your choice of thickness. 5/16" to 1/2" is recommended.Generous handful of raffia, approximately 35"long.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    SandpaperAcrylic paints in your choice of country shades.

    Fine black or white liner pen for lettering and details depending on colors chosen.

    Fabric scraps or paper twist for accent ties between birdhouses.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired, and varnish.INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, and sand well.

    Cut 14 strips 1/2" wide, Seven are 2" long, the other seven 2 1/2" long for birdhouse roofpieces.

    Paint all pieces in your choice of colors.Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    aged appearance.

    Using a fine black or white pen, add the details and lettering. (Make sure the pen iswaterproof and will not smudge!)

    Glue roof pieces to birdhouses, alternate overlapping long piece through the letters.

    Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.

    Make the Braid: Fold over the top 3-4" and tie to make a loop for hanging.Separate raffia strands into three sections and braid. Tie a bow at the bottom to secure.

    Glue birdhouses evenly spaced to the raffia braid, leaving just enough room to tie strips

    of fabric or paper twist between them.

    9. Angel With Star

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of Midnight Blue, Burgundy, Flesh, Black, Dusty Rose, Antique

    Gold or your choice of colors.Fine black liner pen for facial details if desired.Spanish Moss for hair

    Fabric scraps for patches and bow,

    buttons19 gauge wire for hanger.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    aged appearance.

    Using a fine black pen or brush handle add the eyes (Make sure the pen is waterproof andwill not smudge!)

    Smudge Dusty Rose for cheeks using fingertip. Paint a "V" with brush handle for heart

    lips.Glue all pieces together as shown.

    Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.Attach a wire hanger through holes.

    Add frayed fabric bows, moss hair, patches and country button accents.

    Thats it! She's a beauty for Christmas or throughout the year!

    10. Plant and Gather Angel

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.

    Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of Hunter Green, Burgundy, Flesh, Tan, Black, Dusty Rose, BlueFine black liner pen for facial details and lettering.

    Spanish Moss for hair

    Fabric scraps for patches and bow,if desired.

    buttons19 gauge wire for hanger.

    Crackle and Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Apply crackled finish to picket fence pieces if you choose, following the instructions on

    your chosen product carefully.Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    aged appearance.Using a fine black and white pens, add the eyes and lettering details. (Make sure the pen

    is waterproof and will not smudge!)

    Smudge Dusty Rose for cheeks using fingertip. Paint a "V" with brush handle for heartlips.

    Glue all pieces together, referring to the pattern for proper placement.

    (Note:It may be easier to wire arms to heart before gluing)Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.

    Attach a wire hanger through holes.Add frayed fabric bows, moss hair, patches and country button accents.

    Thats it! A nice touch for your country garden or home!

    11. Friendship Angels

    Spanish Moss for hair

    Fabric scrap in a country print for bow.

    Varnish.

    12. Flying Angel with Banner

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun,

    expoxy, etc.

    SandpaperAcrylic paints in shades of Hunter Green, Burgundy, Flesh, Tan, Black, Dusty Rose, Blue

    Fine black liner pen for facial details and lettering.

    Spanish Moss for hair

    Fabric scraps for patches and bow,buttons

    19 gauge wire for hanger.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    *This pattern is for banner angel. Reverse pattern pieces, do not drill holes in hands, and

    refer to the picture as guide for assembly when making the other angel.Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Add a checkerboard pattern to the sign board (with stencil or see tips to make your ownstamp!)

    Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve anaged appearance.

    Using a fine black pen, add the eyes and lettering. (Make sure the pen is waterproof and

    will not smudge!)Smudge Dusty Rose for cheeks using fingertip. Paint a "V" with brush handle for heart

    lips.

    Glue all pieces together, referring to the pattern for proper placement.

    13. Garden of Weedin'

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.

    Small piece of dowel for perches.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc. or white/yellow wood glue and clamps.

    Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of burgundy, Hunter green, Midnight Blue, Antique Gold, Tan,White.

    Fine black paint pen or liner brush for lettering and details.

    Scraps of country print material and raffia for bow if desired.(not shown)

    Spanish Moss for birds nests.Wire to attach pieces and to make a hanger.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Varnish.

    14. Friends & Flowers Cat Stake

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc. or white/yellow wood glue and clamps.

    Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in shades of Midnight Blue, Tan, Grey, Black, Antique Gold, Creme (oryour choice of colors.)

    Fine black paint pen or liner brush for lettering and details.

    Thin wire for whiskers.

    Scrap of country print material for cat bow.Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood,cut out, and sand well.

    Line up sign board pieces to trace before cutting.

    Paint all pieces as shown, or in your choice of colors.

    Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an

    aged appearance.

    Add cat markings and lettering using the fine black paint pen.Make sure the pen you are using is waterproof and will not smudge!

    Glue all pieces together as shown.

    *Glue on wire whiskers before attaching nose piece.*Flower stems attach behind both flower pot and flower for stability and strength.

    Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish toseal.

    15. Bunny Garden Stake

    MATERIALS REQUIRED:

    Wood of your choice, is recommended.

    Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.Sandpaper

    Acrylic paints in your choice of country colors.

    Fine black liner pen for details, white liner pen for lettering.Country Buttons and Fabric Scraps for bows and accents if desired.

    Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.

    Raffia (dyed or painted green), or yarn, etc for carrot tops.

    Varnish.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.

    Paint project in your choice of colors.Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.

    Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve anaged appearance.

    Using a fine black pen add details. Add lettering to sign. (Make sure the pens are

    waterproof and will not smudge!)

    Tie raffia or yarn to Carrot tops through holes.Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.

    Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to

    seal.Glue pieces together as shown in photo.

    Add country bows and buttons if desired.

    Attach to a stake (door shim, 2" wide strip with pointed end etc)
