The Code of Conduct for Cricket Club Members and Guests
All members and guests of Worcester Park Cricket Club will :-
Respect the rights,dignity and worth of every person within the contextof cricket.Treat everyone equallyand not discriminate on the groundsof age, gender, disability, race, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, parental or marital status, religious belief, class or social background, sexual preference or political belief.Not condone, or allow to go unchallenged, any form of discrimination ifwitnessed.Display high standards of behaviour.Promote the positive aspects of Cricket e.g. fair play.Encourage all participants to learn the Laws and rules and play within them always respecting the decisions of match officials.Actively discourage unfair play, rule violations and arguing with match officials.Recognise good performance not just match results.Place the well-being and safety of children above the development of performance.Ensure that activities are appropriate for the age, maturity, experience and ability of the individual.Respect the opinions of children when making decisions about their participation in Cricket.Not smoke, drink or use any banned substances whilst actively working with children at the club.Not provide children with alcohol when they are under the care of the club.Follow ECB guidelines set out in the “Safe Hands” Cricket's Policy ForSafeguarding Children” and any other relevant guidelines issued.Report any concern in relation to a child, following reporting procedures as laid down by the ECB.

The Mid Surrey Colts League Code of Conduct
The League is committed to maintaining the highest standards of behaviour and conduct. It does this by requiring each participating team to provide by way of the match result sheet, a rating of the opposition’s conduct under the Spirit of Cricket, as proscribed and approved by the members at the AGM by simple majority.
Its Code of Conduct incorporates the Spirit of Cricket as set out below. Any
player playing in the Mid Surrey League and Cups will be deemed as agreeing to abide by the
ECB and League’s code of conduct and disciplinary procedures.
The Managers, Captains and Club administrators are responsible at all times for ensuring thatplay is conducted within the Spirit of Cricket as well as within the Laws of Cricket.
Specifically, but not exclusively, this means that :
i)Players and team officials must at all times accept the umpire’s decision. Players must not show dissent at the umpire’s decision or react in a provocative or disapproving manner towards another player or a spectator.
ii)Players and team officials shall not intimidate assault or attempt to intimidate or assault an umpire, another player or a spectator
iii)Players and team officials shall not use crude and/or abusive language (known as “sledging”) nor make offensive gestures or hand signals nor deliberately distract an opponent.
iv)Players and team officials shall not make racially abusive comments nor indulge in racially abusive actions against fellow players, officials, members and supporters.
v) Clubs must operate an active open door membership policy whilst respecting player qualification regulations and welcome players/members irrespective of ethnicorigin
vi) Players and team officials shall not use or in any way be concerned in the use ordistribution of illegal drugs.
vii) Clubs must take adequate steps to ensure the good behaviour of their membersand supporters towards players and umpires.

Regular practice and coaching nights are as follows:-
