Purpose The future has opportunities to follow, but Word of life is looking for people to lead! The Intern Discipleship Program (IDP) is a two-year program designed to accomplish 2 Timothy 2:1-2. Word of life local Church ministries exists to equip the local church through evangelism and discipleship. IDP will get you ready to do just that!

IDP will develop spiritual maturity and leadership skills such as: preaching and teaching, discipleship, time management, problem solving, practical application of biblical truth and self-discipline.

academics In two years, you will complete full college requirements for your degree through a distance learning program. Graduation from IDP means you will have earned a Bachelor of science degree in religion from liberty university.

For four days of the week, 3-1/2 hours will be devoted to academic studies, and these courses are designed to complement ministry.

discipleship you will be discipled by one of Word of life’s full-time staff members, who will get involved in all areas of your life. your personal spiritual walk and personalized ministry development will be the basis of this relationship.

While you are being discipled, you will also be involved in discipling Bible Institute students, so that you can immediately put into practice what you have learned.

Headquarters Internships

A typical day will consist of fulfilling academic requirements and practical

internships within Word of life. you will become familiar with how Word of

life works behind the scenes. you will assist one of the lCm staff members

in projects that will facilitate our staff on the field and begin to understand

how headquarters partners with our field staff.

FIELD Internships

you will take one of your semesters on the mission field with lCm missionaries.

These men and women will give you experience and show you what a missionary

actually does. While on the field, you will have opportunities to travel, speak

evangelistically, teach, help run activities and build relationships with church leaders.

This has always been a highlight for both our students and missionaries.

Ministries

There is a wide variety of exciting ministry

opportunities. Including participating in local

church ministry through Word of life

children’s and student ministries, large

evangelistic outreach events, open Air

Evangelism in major cities, snow Camp,

summer Camp, discipleship of students,

and teaching and preaching evangelistically

at student and children’s events.
