A huge buzz for our Spelling Bee contestantsOn Wednesday 24th April, year 7 students Fardeed Chowdhury, Mahdi Hasan, Zachary Shaw and Tafari Kelvin represented BGA at the annual foreign language spelling bee for year 7's.They were competing against schools from all over London, having been tasked with learning the meaning, pronunciation and spelling of 200 words in Spanish. They each had one minute in which to spell as many words as possible in front of a large audience.Despite not progressing into the country wide final, our students performed admirably. Students' explanations for this defeat include that one of the winners, Fernando, has a distinctly

Spanish sounding name.If you see them around school please congratulate them on their efforts. If you see them around school please congratulate them on their efforts.
