• WordTalk installs with
SAPI 5 voices
• WordTalk works with other

• WordTalk highlights each
word as it is read aloud.
• You may set the colour of
the selected reading unit
(word, sentence, paragraph)
KeyboardCommands
• To activate keyboard
commands, check
“Keyboard Shortcuts”.

• Select miss-spelled word
• Hit spell-check button on
the toolbar

Downloading
• Download from:
http://www.wordtalk.org.uk/html/download.html
(There is no cost, but registration is required.)
• Two files to download:
WordTalk.msi if SAPI 5 voices not already installed, or
WordTalk.exe if SAPI 5 voices already installed
• WTConfigure.exe
***It is a good idea to save the files to your desktop .
[REQUIREMENTS: Windows 98 or later with MS Word 97 or later.]
Installing
1. Double-click on the icon for WordTalk.msi or WordTalk.exe.
2. Follow onscreen instructions.
3. If you see a security warning, indicate that you wish to proceed.

1. Open MS Word
2. Open Tools Menu and select Templates and Add-ins

3. Click Add.
4. Go to My Computer, and open it.

5. To continue, open the hard drive of your computer.
6. Open the folder entitled “Program Files”

7. Open the folder entitled “WordTalk.
8. Open the file entitled “WordTalk” or “WordTalk.dot”

9. With WordTalk.dot checked, click OK.

10. If a security warning appears, click “Enable Macros .

When you first try to use WordTalk, you may get a security warning that says: “The macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your Macro security settings. If so:
In Word, go to Tools > Macro > Security and set your security level to Medium.

The WordTalk toolbar should now be installed and ready to use.
