A small selection of creative pieces in poem from Halton

Lost In You

Lost in your eyes

windows to the soul

longing to be drowned in their magnificence

feeling you through loves strong glare

snared in a romantic dance

I need you

to lay with you

to hold you

to kiss you

pauses with no words

the slow intense breath

heart racing

that look, that deep, deep look

I am lost and under your trance

caught in a spell

Magic that encapsulates my being

longing to be yours

Gone and surrendered to loves long call

Spring

Alone in a world of me

do not sorrow for here I lay

I choose my ground

I feel the earth, gentle, calm spring

birds dancing in the cloudless blue curtain

I am here

the dark months are gone and life starts anew

fertile life within and without surrounds me

I breathe

the suns warm light cascades upon me

I am life

Sent from a turn of this rock in gravity motion

We are reborn from our life giver

our god

our star

The Dark

Anguish...pain

please keep me from the darkness that shrouds my soul

enveloping, choking, Struggling to breathe

why has the light barely shone

I take a breath

a tear slowly leaves my eyes

Fighting hard to hold the deluge of despair

broken

why again

self-protection fools reflection

I cannot even look at myself

but who would be starring back

lost

drifting

lay back and fall

there is nothing left to lose

This path I alone did choose

Late Dreams

Laying late in darkness as hours do pass

owls accompany my midnight grief

Turning

thinking

replaying those moments

the good and the bad

torn in heart and mind so much

a clowns busy facade is broken glass

a heart so fragile

so broken

so black

The tunnels light seems so far away

shake yourself free of these shackles of thought

fighting the blackness of torn damaged mind

turning again the replays of time

why did I

why didn’t I

questions of mine

you don’t really know me

the war in my head

it’s with me every minute

at night when I lay in my bed

bad dreams

dark thoughts

a heart need of love

send me thy light

hold me close into you

please save my soul

I’m lost without you

Castle Walls

A path so forged by devastation and pain

Sorry lessons still not learnt

hoping again that you’ll never get burned

protecting defending

why fight this duel

building your castle walls not like a king but a fool

you thought they were strong

never to be slighted or breached

happy in your walls

you became prisoner and guard

hiding from the beat of a pure honest heart

Believe and smile

the enemy is not love

we all can be happy and trust in the one

the one you can’t hide from

however hard you try

so knock these castle walls down

and don’t live a lie

Ocean

Within I feel the warmth of earthly rhythm

the oceans merry dance to and fro

its enveloping sound crashing upon golden shore

the smell and sound grabs my soul and whirls me in hypnotic trance

content with every crash and wave and feeling and seeing the sparkling ripple in

earths given sunlight

life’s motion

Natures heartbeat moving to lunar pull

the acoustic beautiful music of life’s giving ocean

To find far point away from all, alone in heart and mind.. .peace...tranquillity...the real

heaven in us all, the crashing orchestral dance of acoustic beauty fills my soul as I

listen deeply to earths gift ...the sky above me glistens with stars..i am content and i

slowly drift away

Vallon Man

His hands steady

Each sweep a deadly game

Sweat drips beneath Kevlar

The heat

The smell

Rocks, dirt and hell

The hero whose hands held his child before tour

Now cradles our warriors

So none of them fall

Marking their path

By bayonet

By hand

Keeping you safe

In a faraway land

Life’s Wonder

Have you ever looked?

Lift your sights beyond the soul

Find life’s giving wonder

Feel it

The breeze

The light

The wetness of nature

Motions of wonder in every corner

Blue skies

Green fields

Is it wrong we do not notice?

Our view blocked by life’s own madness

We will awaken

Breathing our souls enlightened

We will find our new dawn

The Bubble

Sometimes you win battles

But the wars never won

The darkness surrounds you

But never the sun

The mask of a clown

Like a shield hides your pain

Screaming silently

Am I going insane?

Emerald Leaves

The beautiful rush of bristling leaves

In tune to natures dance

Your breath upon my face

I feel it move them before me

I am hypnotised at all I behold

I am dazzled by your wonder

Branches swaying in emerald rhythm

Free

At one

Singing to earths natures call

Stars

Have you seen what sights are there to behold

Trillions of stars glimmering, dancing, mesmerising

Time pieces frozen in our dark night sky

Their light so old from long ago

Yet shinning bright for us all

The breath of precious life

These stars have shaped our journey

Their elements forged everything we see

Everything we are

Everything we touch

Gods of us all within and without

Creators strewn like diamonds across our cold night sky

Yet elements beat within your heart and mine

We are one
