FYI - I will be attending the Ryder Cup in Minnesota September 28-October 3, so I am turning grades in to the office Tues-

day for the 6 weeks. Students have been given progress reports with any missing assignments last week and the oppor-

tunity to turn late work in by last Friday. Classes will be doing a project with my substitute while I am gone.

Geometry students will have their last test of the 6 weeks Monday over midpoints, bisectors and segment addition. This

test will also act as a retest for the Quiz last week. Tuesday, we will go over project expectations and grading criteria.

They will have the opportunity to work in class for 5 school days and will turn it in Wednesday, October 5 when I return.

Because the deadline is predetermined to be October 5, any absences will not move the deadline unless they are actually

absent October 5; then it is due the DAY they RETURN!

Algebra 2 students will have a test over Systems of Equations on Monday, but it will go in next 6 weeks' grades. Tuesday,

we will go over project expectations and grading criteria. They will have the opportunity to work in class for 5 school

days and will turn it in Wednesday, October 5 when I return. Because the deadline is predetermined to be October 5, any

absences will not move the deadline unless they are actually absent October 5; then it is due the DAY they RETURN! I

thank you in advance for your support and cooperation!

Algebra -- We are working on slopes and intercepts and how they affect the graph of a line. Test #3, our last test of this

grading period, will be Wed 9/28. There will be no opportunities for corrections on this test, so it will be very important

that students understand the review that we will do in class on Tuesday.

Advanced Geometry -- Monday we finish our work with finding the Perpendicular Distance to a line, Review on Tuesday

and take Test #3 on Wednesday 9/28. There will no opportunities for corrections on this test, so students need to make

sure they are prepared. The rest of the week we will be learning about reasoning and proofs as applied to Algebra and

Geometry.
