British traditionsBritish traditions
The traditional “British Breakfast” is milk with cereals, then bacon and eggs , sausages and tomatoes and finally toast with marmelade or jam.
These days, people don’t always have the time to eat all of that , so they usually have just cereals with milk and toast.
And, of course, a large mug of tea or coffee - usually with milk.
![Page 14: Workbook for pupils from 11 to 14 by Raffaella De Martini Amelia Gagliardi Alessandra Piccardo](https://reader036.vdocument.in/reader036/viewer/2022062716/56649de55503460f94adca95/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
The British usually have lunch between 12 (noon) and 1 p.m. Lunch is not a big meal in Britain. Many children have lunch at school; many adults eat lunch at work.
The British eat their evening meal at any time from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. They call it “supper” or “dinner”.
There is often a pudding or cake with this meal - and tea or coffee.
Do you find any differences between Britain and Italy?Discuss with your class.
