  • The cost of living . . .

The cost of living in the UK obviously differs to the cost of living in other countries. Some items are more expensive, and you may also struggle to find other items.

There are European shops located throughout the UK, so once you settle in to the UK, you should ask around and find out where these are, to purchase any specialised items you may require.

There are various supermarkets across the country, such as ASDA, Sainsburys, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi, The Co-operative Food, etc... These shops all sell groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen goods and alcohol. Most places sell cigarettes and have Pay Points for topping up your mobile phone, paying bills or transferring money.

  • Other tips . . .

The power outlets are different, so you will need to purchase an EU to UK power adapters. Make sure you have one before you get here.

You should also unlock your phone before you get to UK so that you can use any SIM card. Unlocking your mobile phone or buying an unlocked one in the UK is more expensive than in Romania.

Mobile operators like Lycamobile and Lebara can offer prepaid SIM cards with cheep International calls.

You will be using your email a lot so make sure that you also know your Security Question(not just the password) as most email providers will need to double-check your identity when you log in from another country.

There are other things you have to be aware of when you live in the UK.

  • Living in the UKActive Recruitment Campaigns

  • Active Recruitment Campaigns

At the moment, we are recruiting for some of our major clients in the retail industry.

We can offer entry level jobs in the logistics sector as warehouse operatives (picking or packing). Order picking is usually the most common activity in a warehouse, followed by packing.

According to the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) 2012 Transport and Storage Sector Skills Assessment, the sector employs 1.45 million people, which makes up 5% of total employment in the UK. The United Kingdom has over 2,000 depots, equating to 10 million square feet.

Even though each distribution centre is different, a warehouse operative is commonly known as an employee who has a basic but essential role in a warehouse. It involves a general set of skills and responsibilities. It does not require any previous experience or education but it does require a lot of other skills.

  • Active Recruitment Campaigns

Please read the official job description offered by the National Career Services(link). We usually recruit every week for one client or another, so you just have to decide when you can arrive in UK so that we can arrange the final interview here.

If you are flexible, it really comes down to what part of England you prefer. Our clients are spread around all over the country.

We dont recruit for the same client all year long, as their requirements vary. There are times when we dont recruit at all and there are some situations when you can choose your preferred location.

  • Active Recruitment Campaigns

Depending on the requirement of our clients and your availability you may be suitable for one location or another. We will tell you which one is available and which one matches your skills.
