Working Child Permit

Conditions for Employment of Children Below 15 Years of Age

20 hours of work per week or not more than 4 hours at any given day;

• Does not endanger child’s life, safety, health and morals, or impair child’s normal development

The working child shall be provided with at least elementary or secondary education

Requirements for the Issuance of Working Child Permit (WCP)

• Duly accomplished application form• Proof of schooling

(if child is 7 years of age and above and is in-school)

• Brief description of the program of education, training and skills acquisition (if child is 7 years of age and above and is not enrolled)

Requirements for the Issuance of Working Child Permit (WCP)

• Child’s Birth Certificate or Certificate of Late Registration of Birth

• Medical Certificate• 2 passport size photos of the child• Any proof of identity (if employer is the parent,

guardian or family member other thanparent of the child)

Requirements for the Issuance of Working Child Permit (WCP)

• If employer is in public entertainment or information:- Certified true copy of Business

Permit or Certificate of Registration- Employment contract of the child- An express agreement of the child

to the provisions of the contract• P100 application fee

Validity of WCP

Based on contract of the working child but not to exceed 1 year

Requirements for Renewal of WCP

The applicant shall submit:- All the documents required for application

for a new WCP (except child’s authenticated birth certificate or certificate of late registration of birth);

- Previously issued WCP; and- Contract of Employment

Interview/orientation of the child’s parent/legal guardian on child labor laws and regulations by FO Focal Person

If the parent/legal guardian is not present at the time of filing of the application, the FO Focal Person will schedule an interview/ orientation within the next 2 working days

Payment of permit fee to FO Special Collecting and Disbursing Officer (SCDO)

Receive Official Receipt (OR)

RENEWAL
