IS 14300-1 – Structuring of a Programme (PL: Thomas Deak)Small subgroup will prepare a draft, taking into account some textsfrom ECSS-M-00B and PrEN 9200 (Deadline: 30th September).

WD 10794 – Material, mechanical parts and processes (PL:Satoshi Kikuchi)The WD is based on ECSS-Q-70B. A check has to be done with WG6on normative references made in this standard, and the need to createor not some new ISO standards when a domain need to be covered.

WD 10795 – Glossary of Terms (PL: João Matos)

An International Space Station Glossary of Terms from NASA is taken

into account at this moment. Check has also to be done with IAQG

Glossary.

A guideline for Project Management has been proposed at TMB level

for all sectors (ISO/PC236). A counter proposal has been submitted by

ANSI to have only a Glossary of Terms. Information on status has

been provided by SC14 Secretariat. Necessary to implement

communication between WG5 and ISO/PC236 to take into account

existing IS.

Cost and schedule

An ISO Standard on “Cost and schedule” is considered to be

necessary. So, it is important to continue seeking for a project leader.

WG5 Standards databaseCanada will add its own information into existing database, which isvery useful when a NWIP is starting.

Framework of WG5 activitiesThe WG5 framework of standards was updated.

On Software product assurance, IAQG has initiated a WG. Output expectednext year. Needs on standards should be identified by Japan WG5member.

On project phasing and planning, need to get a document is confirmed byChina, Japan and Brazil. A project leader has to be identified to initiateNWI.

Voting membersChina has to identify a voting member.

Recall of Resolution 226 decided during Toulouse Meeting – May

2005:

WG convenors and WG members to develop a framework of standards

for the working groups of SC14 in order to help for identification of

• 7 “B2” = Adaptation by ISO with ECSS support identified by WG5.

Orbital Debris Coordination Working Group (ODCWG)Hedley Stokes made a presentation of ODCWG outputs.

For WD 24113, ODCQG asks WG5 to provide comments on § 7 about

Orbital Debris Mitigation Plan (ODMP). Comments already prepared during

meeting and will be formally sent to ODCWG. Deadline: 1st June 2007.

Invite China to have a voting WG5 representative.

Invite US to encourage WG5 representative to attend and speed up present WD.

DTR 23462 “Guidelines to define the management framework for a space project

This DTR (Draft Technical Report) is under publication (TR). Necessary to check

comments have been resolved and to update the title in ISO status N250 by SC1

Secretariat as already asked during last fall meeting.

At TMB level a proposal has been made by BSI to introduce a NWI “Guideline on

Project Management” Oct-06 based on BS 6079:

ISO vote: BSI proposal accepted: 19 agree; 4 against; 2 abstain/14 ready to

participate. ANSI counter proposal: Only Glossary/Based on PMBOK Guide (exist

in 10+7 languages)/ANSI has made a counter proposal for a glossary
