Application of MTP Policies

9

County policies call for: • planning integration of land uses and transportation, • developing “Complete Streets”, and• managing travel demand

Typical applications: • upgrading streets with enhanced sidewalks, new street

lighting, bicycle lanes, better bus stops, traffic signals and safety features.

• New streets or alleys may required with redevelopment of large properties.

• Traffic demand reduction and/or traffic speed calming• Community and project team will seek to identify

the transportation desires and deficiencies for the 4MRV area.

• Implementation of proposed improvements would likely occur as part of property redevelopment (private funding) and through County-initiated projects (funded in the CIP).
