Our team of partners and senior managers has a range of experience in the water and energy industries and are across the issues

currently impacting them.

Helping clients manage ongoing regulatory changes in the energy sector. Most recently

this included project managing the “Power of Choice” energy reforms for an energy client.

Exploring opportunities with our clients to interpret the abundant amount of smart meter data being received by retailers for

emerging energy services including Virtual Power Plan technology.

We have recently provided business analysis support to assist a retailer with the choice

and implementation of a key system.

Managing the procurement process and the delivery of systems for utility clients

looking to upgrade their billing and customer relationship management systems. Recently Pitcher Partners managed the selection and

implementation of a new energy trading platform for a leading energy utility.

Partnering with a technology provider enabling us to monitor real-time and

historical electricity usage and generation across geographically diverse sites, and assist

in identifying cost efficiencies through to the measurement and verification of energy

efficient projects for our clients.

Gippsland WaterDigital transitionThe vision to concurrently improve customer experience and internal efficiency through the strategic application of digital technologies led to Gippsland Water engaging Pitcher Partners.

The overall goal of this engagement was to be able to migrate customers from conventional, labour intensive means to more digitally enabled, automated alternatives.

Through customer research, customer experience benchmarking, gap analysis and the creation of a customer experience improvement roadmap, Pitcher Partners successfully aided Gippsland Water in this transition.

Pitcher Partners also provided Gippsland Water with change management and human resources services.

Western WaterCRM system selectionTo meet their growing business requirements, Pitcher Partners performed a high level review of Western Water’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. We provided advice on current CRM capability and suitability for accomplishment of business requirements, and made recommendations for CRM replacement, data migration, and procurement of IT systems and services.

In an environment requiring the Western Water to dramatically reduce costs, we assisted in a number of areas including:

• Improved business processes in order to reduce costs associated with the purchase and implementation of an organisation-wide CRM

• Business System Review – reviewed workflow processes in their customer contact centre

• Business Process Management – helped define better asset management processes, in particular with regards to existing infrastructure of pipelines in relation to capital works projects

Simply EnergyProject planning, governance, quality assurance, change management & business analysisTo support their growing activities, Simply Energy is upgrading their billing systems and processes across the organisation. We are currently providing hands-on project planning, governance, quality assurance, change management and business analysis support across this multi-year engagement to roll out the new systems and processes across Simply Energy.

Using our robust processes, we are working through planning and implementation for each phase of this implementation to add value, engage key stakeholders, and mitigate risks.

We have also advised Simply Energy on several other projects over the last three years including defining requirements for their virtual power plant, providing business analysis support for power of choice and performing financial modelling reviews.

JemenaProbity Advisory Services (PAS)Jemena Gas Network required probity advisory services in ensuring a fair and unbiased selection process of one or more contractors to provide repair, maintenance, construction and emergency response services for their gas distribution network.

Pitcher Partners were engaged to:

• Review procurement documentation including tender invitation documentation, industry briefing packs, and correspondence with tenderers

• Attend evaluation panel meetings, tenderer interviews/presentations and evaluation panel scoring meetings

• Review tender submissions and the evaluation report, and provide a probity advisory report

• Provide probity advice throughout the procurement process
