Dear Facilitator,

We would like to invite you to submit your workshop/ facilitation to the upcoming Menergy 2015

scheduled for the weekend of Thursday 15th Sunday 18th 2015 in Licola Retreat, Licola Victoria.

You have been forwarded this application because other men have acknowledged your work around

mens health and wellbeing and we feel your involvement would be of great value to the success of

the event and to the men attending.

At this stage we cannot confirm your submission will be successful but we ask that you consider

What is Menergy

Menergy is a gathering of men held over a 3 night 3 day weekend of October 15th - 18th 2015 where

facilitated workshops and organised rituals help foster a sense of wellbeing, acceptance and

brotherhood for men needing to associate with likeminded males.

The event is part of a larger organisation called Mens Wellbeing, which has been in existence for

over 15 years and has managed dozens of Mens health and wellbeing facilitated retreats.

Menergy 2015 theme - Into the Heart

Each year there is a new theme for the gathering and this year is journey of going into the Heart.

How mens truth, wisdom and courage come from acting, speaking, and taking guidance from their

heart.

In todays culture men have been socially conditioned to not speak their truth and not share from

their heart, as its considered unmanly. Too often we are conditioned to speak from our minds and

intellect and shun our emotions and heartfelt desires. Into the heart is about allowing men to gain

access and find trust and support amongst other men to open into their hearts wisdom.

We invite you to shape your workshop with the concept of Into the heart and how your unique

offering can complement this theme.

Workshop Proposal

The committee invites workshop facilitators to be courageous, innovative and edgy to bring support

to the theme: Into the Heart The sub-themes or areas of work outlined above are intended to

inspire, not to limit the workshop proposals. We also encourage you to put forward proposals that

stretch and deeply challenge experienced men who may have attended several gatherings in the

past.

With regard to workshop design we ask facilitators to be:

mindful how you can create depth for men who seek that level of personal enquiry, yet

maintain emotional safety for men who are more challenged by the work

courageous and create experiences and opportunities to awaken men who are open to

these energies and to have authentic conversations on these subjects

mindful of any physical safety issues and to discuss with the committee any risks you may

envisage with your proposal

aware the gathering is scheduled for spring, so please be conscious of the weather

dependant nature of your workshop and advise what facilities you may need

The committees decision on which workshop proposals are accepted into the gatherings program is

not a reflection on the inherent quality of a proposal. The committee will endeavour to:

choose from a breadth of topics, modalities and outcomes

choose workshops that invite men to ask them to journey Into the Heart regardless of

what area of work is proposed

incorporate fresh content

offer a variety of levels for personal development work; i.e. workshops that allow for

comfortable entry points for new men through to more profound work for those men

looking to challenge themselves more deeply

Regardless of the outcome of your workshop proposal we strongly encourage you to attend the

gathering. Your deep experience, wisdom and energy are of great value to the gathering and for all

men present.

Returning facilitators: We value and welcome returning facilitators to Menergy 2015 and we also hope to attract new

facilitators and ask that you extend this invitation to anyone you believe has something of benefit

for the gathering.

If you wish to repeat a workshop from earlier gatherings, we encourage you to look for new and

challenging ways to grow your workshop to fit this years theme. We understand that some

workshops are timeless; and in these cases we simply ask that you present your workshop with your

usual clear, conscious intention, energy and focus.

Workshop promotion:

Please prepare your proposal to be received ASAP

For your workshop to appear on our Facebook page, we also need a face portrait. We are

looking to refresh and improve the presentation of these portraits in 2014 and so encourage

you to send us a portrait this year even if you have sent us a portrait previously.

A well-lit photo with not too much contrast with a neutral background is best. Please email

We ask that those selected to promote to your Facebook and social marketing connections

the details of Menergy 2015 and invite other men to attend.

Cost The spirit of Menergy is run by volunteers and all those that attend contribute financially. For

facilitators we request that you contribute the same that committee members pay of $295.00. (Inc.

G.S.T.)

This fee is to ensure that facilitators attend and that all attending are financially supporting the

group. The full rate for non-members is $495.00

Workshop Schedule

Please see attached example below of the schedule of workshops offered. This is in indication of the

format, the exact will be created once the applications have been approved. The dates too will

change. Workshops will be offered from Friday morning to Sunday Lunchtime. Please note that

arrival is now Thursday evening.

Application submission are open until full. We are expecting a lot of submissions this year as

interest is very high so please get your application in early and please dont be offended if you are

not selected. We still want you to attend.
