• World Bank funding accounts for Ghana Customs share in PPP arrangement.
• System is self sustaining in terms of maintenance and replacement of equipments.
• System funds provision of networks & equipments etc for MDA’s.
• However, connection of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to TradeNet received funding from the World Bank.

• World Bank funds the Gateway Project which has as its main objective the modernization of frontline institutions/agencies that deal with investors by re-engineering them into trade facilitators .
• E.g– Computerization of Ghana Customs (PPP).– ISO certification for Ghana Customs– Modernization of Port infrastructure and IT
system. – Development of Export Processing Zones
(EPZ).
