The Conference is sponsored by AORN and will be held August 28 through September 1, 1989, at the Austria Center Vienna. "Secure the Future: Professional Perioperative Practice" is the theme for the Conference. The Conference offers nurses from all over the world informative education sessions on advances in patient care and technology, research, and management. An International Planning Committee, composed of representatives from Austria, France, Australia, Canada, the United States, Great Britain, Nigeria, and West Germany, helped plan the education portion of the Conference. Health care industry representatives located in the exhibit area will demonstrate the latest surgicalequipment and answer any questions about products. The climate of Vienna ranges from 3OoC (86°F) with little rain in the summertime to O°C (32'F) in the winter. Autumn is delightful, and mild, sunny days last until mid-November. Attendees- may chose to extend their visits with longer post-Conference tours.
