WORLD FORUM FOR MEDICINE
BE PART OF IT!
MEDICA 2016: A UNIQUE MEETING PLACE FOR THE WORLD OF MEDICINEThere are many reasons why MEDICA is so unique. Firstly, the event is the largest medical trade fair in the world – in 2015 it attracted around 5,000 exhibitors from 70 countries. Furthermore, each year, leading individuals from the fields of business, research, and politics grace this top-class event with their presence — naturally alongside tens of thousands of national and international experts and decision-makers from the sector, such as yourself. An extensive exhibition and an ambitious program — which together present the entire spectrum of innovations for outpatient and clinical care — await you in Düsseldorf.
Our new Monday to Thursday schedule, adapted to suit the needs of trade visitors and exhibitors, met with great approval last year and was well received from the very start. This benefited the successful duo of MEDICA and the medical supplier trade fair COMPAMED, because the two events now run entirely in parallel and complement each other perfectly.
MEDICA's extensive and high-quality supporting program is the undisputed No. 1 in the world, thanks to the ongoing development of the concept so as to optimize the interlinking of science, theory, and practice. Conferences and forums show how innovative medical technologies can be used in the most effective manner every day in a wide range of medical fields.

Practice-oriented presentations on modern concepts for treating wounds in operating rooms and in other settings are offered in the MEDICA WOUND CARE FORUM. The focus here is on reviews of actual case studies.
The MEDICA ECON FORUM by TK, which features high-ranking representatives from the German healthcare sector, presents and discusses the impact of medical advancements and new treatment methods from the perspective of the patients. A creative medical technology supply industry, plus medical technology that relies on constant innovation, form the perfect team – and once a year they have the opportunity to exchange ideas in Düsseldorf.
In 2015, 779 exhibitors from 37 countries offered an insight into the future of medicine at COMPAMED, the leading inter-national industry event for medical technology suppliers. The trade fair presents new components, materials, and services, and has now developed into a hotspot for complex high-tech solutions from the fields of microtechnology and nanotechnology.
Last year COMPAMED ran entirely in parallel to MEDICA for the first time on all four days of the new schedule. This promoted an extensive exchange of ideas between suppliers and customers from the medical technology industry and attracted 18,800 visitors who were especially interested in the range of topics covered by this trade fair.
COMPAMED is supplemented by attractive forums. Interna-tional speakers and leading experts present current trends in medical technology here:
