Congratulations on completing “World History and You” Book 1. “World History and You” Book 2 picks up where the first book left off. The second book begins with the In-dustrial Revolution and concludes with the events from the present day. Each unit is designed to be interesting to today's students. Maps, graphs, photographs and illustra-tions have been chosen to keep your interest. Special features have been selected to make learning at home easier. New vocabulary is introduced at the beginning of each chapter under the heading New Words. These words are presented in bold print and are also defined in the Glossary. Other features in “World History and You” help you understand the material. Each book is divided into units that correspond to important eras in history. Names that might be new to you are introduced under the heading People and Places. A variety of activities are designed to ensure that you not only understand what you have read, but also remember facts. Complete all the review questions at the end of each chapter. If you are unsure of an answer, go back to the area in your book that covers that particular subject. You will see these questions again on your unit tests. Before you begin your studies, please read “To The Reader” on page one in your work-book. In each unit there are many chapters. There will be a summary of each Unit and Chapter.
