Safety InformationObserve each ride before participating. Each ride has specific rules for specific safety reasons. Failure to follow these rules is dangerous and may result in serious injuries to yourself or others. Read and obey all ride signs, audio instructions and verbal instructions. If you do not understand the instructions, ask a lifeguard or ride attendant.

WARNING: Every Guest has different capabilities and limitations and every ride has associated risks. As such, certain individuals are at increased risk for injury from these rides. Only you know your physical condition and limitations. Please carefully evaluate each ride to determine if you, or members of your party, can safely participate. DO NOT RIDE if you could aggravate a pre-existing condition or you believe your health could be at risk for any reason.

Morey’s Piers cares about the health and safety of our Guests. All Piers and Water Parks are now smoke-free environments. See the enclosed map for designated smoking areas.

AMUSEMENT RIDES SAFETY Loose articles, including cell phones, purses, stuffed animals, cameras, selfie sticks, etc. are not permitted on most rides. Please leave loose articles with a non-rider, use the provided loose article storage available at some rides, or store them in a locker prior to joining the line. Morey’s Piers and its Associates are not responsible for articles that are lost, stolen or damaged while riding or when left in any storage area.

Keep all parts of your body inside the ride at all times.

Secure all loose articles, clothing and long hair.

Remain seated in an upright position.

Hold on until the ride comes to a complete stop and you are instructed to exit.

Keep all restraints fastened until the operator instructs you to exit.

Shoes are required on most rides. Certain rides have shoe-type restrictions. Restricted shoe types may include flip-flops or similar shoes.

Food, drink and smoking are not permitted on any ride.

Throwing objects, spitting off of any ride or attraction and horseplay is not permitted.

NEVER enter a ride area without the operator being present and consenting.

While rare, evacuations may be required due to mechanical issues, weather conditions or power interruption. Evacuating may require you to step over and around objects and walk down steep inclines.

We Care about your Kids...• Please observe the ride before participating. Read all rider

requirements to your child and speak with your child about how to ride safely.

• Tell your children to: ➤ Listen to all instructions. ➤ Hold on with both hands. ➤ Remain seated until the ride stops

completely and they are told to exit. ➤ Never run.

• NEVER force your child to ride if they are afraid.

• Do not reach into ride areas to touch or “Hi-Five” your child once he/she is seated.

WATER PARKS SAFETY If you or anyone in your group is unsure of his or her ability to swim, do not swim without a life jacket. Life jackets are available free of charge at both water parks. Please see any staff member for assistance.

No diving or horseplay.

On double tube rides, be aware of your riding partner’s position and maintain a safe distance.

No glass containers of any type are permitted in the park.

Children under 3 years of age must wear an approved swim diaper.

The entire premises of our water parks will, at times, be covered in water. Do not run.

All shoes, including water shoes, are not permitted on any slide.

OTHER TERMS, CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS • For the safety of all our Guests and Associates, selfie sticks are not

permitted to be used at any time while on Morey’s Piers property and are not permitted to be brought on or into any ride or attraction.

• We reserve the right to inspect all persons and articles which enter any Morey’s Piers property.

• Morey’s Piers and its Associates are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Most rides do not permit loose articles. Please leave all loose articles with a non-rider.

• Any Guest who may jeopardize their own or another’s safety, will not obey the rules and regulations of a ride or are giving the indication of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, will be required to leave the premises and may face criminal prosecution under NJSA 5:3-36.1.

• All accidents or injuries should be reported in accordance with posted instructions. First-aid stations are located on all piers.

• All claims of any kind, including but not limited to claims for personal injuries, may only be brought in the Courts of Cape May County, NJ.

• Audible music players, laser pointers and pets are not permitted on Morey’s Piers.

• All riders are subject to height, weight and age restrictions.

• Approaching severe weather may cause some or all attractions to close temporarily. All rides and attractions will reopen as soon as we determine it is safe to do so.

INDEPENDENT POSTURE CONTROL: Independent posture control is defined as having the ability to sit upright and hold on without assistance.

Rider requirements are set by management, ride manufacturer and state agencies and will be strictly enforced. Other requirements not included in this brochure are posted at each ride. All requirements will be strictly enforced and are subject to change.

Our attractions are designed by manufacturers to accommodate the “average” rider. Very large framed or small individuals may not be safely accommodated by some rides.

OFFICIAL HEIGHT MEASUREMENT: Morey’s Piers offers Official Height Measurement at any Pier Guest Services. If your child is on the borderline of any height requirement, please come to Guest Services upon your arrival and ask to be officially measured. An Associate will measure your child using a hospital quality Stadiometer and issue a wristband noting his or her exact height. Your child will still be measured at every ride, but if there is a question concerning height, the Operator will check the wristband and allow your child to ride if appropriate.
