Control Panel

Hoist and t rolley controls are housed

in a common NEMA 4/12 controlenclosure; wi th generous space for ease of

inspection and service. Controls use

only the highest quali ty components

and are designed to meet N EC standards

for maximum life and easy service.

Trolley Traverse Drive

Two wheels are driven; one on each side

of the frame for maximum tracti on anduni form tracking. Traverse motor dri ves a

ri ght angle worm gear reducer for smooth

start ing and stopping (wit hin OSHA requir

distances) wi thout requir ing a brake. Troll

traverse drive pini on shaft is hex-sided; keys

not needed for reducer or pini on connecti on

Each dri ve pin ion is held i n place wi th

locking collars to prevent pi nion walki ng.

Drum, Reeving & Lower Block

Hoist i s reeved to a low-headroom design

lower block for minimum headroom andmaximum lift . Wi re rope is secured to the

drum with three heavy ducti le iron clamps

and designed to have three extra wraps of

wi re rope on the drum wi th the rope at full

extension (low hook).

Block Operated Limit Switch

The hoist is provided wi th a block

actuated upper l imi t switch, meeti ng therequirements of A.S.M .E. The li mit

swi tch is actuated by contact wi th the

lower block, preventing double blocki ng,

possible rope breakage and l oad drop.

Also included is an upper and lower geared

limit swit ch.

Wire Rope Drum & Rope Guide

The wi re rope drum is machined from

quality steel, grooved to a depth equal to50% of the ropes diameter, wi th a rope

guide to help ensure the rope stays in the

grooves.

Hoist Gear Case & Motor

Tri ple reduction hoist gearing is oil bath

lubri cated, operating in an oil- ti ght,vacuum cast aluminum gear case. The

gear case is conveni ent ly located to allow

ease of access in the air, whi le providing

a low headroom design wit h maximum

li ft . The motor is two-speed wi th a 6:1

ratio from high to low speed; givi ng a low

speed for precise load handling and a high

speed for fast thr oughput.
