New Classes Starting Next Week Teachers Location Subject Johnny Adams + Mike Holder Fellowship Hall The View From the Top: How God Sees Things Robin Yeldell Upstairs (301) Video Discussion Christmas Poinsettias Each year during the Advent/Christmas season our stage is decorated with Poinsettias that surround our Christmas Trees. If you would like to purchase a Poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one we still have several unclaimed. They are $8.50 each. You can write a check and give that to Merle in the church office if you are interested. Our Hearts Go Out To Jan Huffstutler & Family on the passing of Ron. His service was on Wednesday at Parker Ashworth. Keep them in your prayers. Ladies Christmas Party Ladies, you are invited by the Ladies of Country Bible Church to their Annual Christmas Party, Friday, December 2 at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center (gymnasium) of Country Bible Church. Cost is $5 each. Please sign up at the Connections Booth . You can pay Beverly Morrison, Lisa McFarlin or Pat Shaw. Ladies Bible Class Join us this week at 10am for Ladies Class. Jane Stephens is bringing the lesson. After class we will have a party celebrating Jena Shepherds’ upcoming marriage in December. A meal will be provided. If you would like to participate in a gift for Jena, you can give money to either Lisa McFarlin or Sandra Sams or give a gift card.
This Week’s Unity Prayer This week we are praying for Country Bible Church in Kaufman. Their minister is Matt Pugh. Christmas Eve Service Our second annual shared Christmas Eve Service with Country Bible Church will be at 5:00pm on December 24th. Last year we hosted this service at KCOC and this year it will be held at CBC! Their building is located behind Kaufman Presbyterian Hospital at 401 N. Shannon Street. Please remember in prayer: Walter Yandell is at home following surgery to remove a tumor from his brain. Doranda Conner had surgery recently and is at home recuperating nicely. Also remember Larry Searcy, Patti Koleszar, Barbara Hearn, Dorothy Dees, Aaron Anderson, Debbie Wingler (sister of Leanna Patterson). Ruth Honey is having spinal surgery on November 30. Children’s Ministry Christmas Program Sunday, December 18th is this year’s Children’s Ministry Christmas Program. Practices will begin this Wednesday night during class. We want every child through 6th grade to be a part of this special day. See Suzanne Brown if you would like to help in any way. STUDENT MINISTRY NEWS - 7th-12th Grade Sunday Mornings – We will have class at 9:30am, continuing our study through the Old Testament Heroes. Wednesday–We will resume our after school break time starting at 3:40. The van will pick up at the High School and Jr. High. Dinner for $2 at 6pm and Worship at 7pm.
