Welcome
Flowers The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God from
the wedding of Taylor Widuch and Drew Jackson.
The King’s Brass Tim Zimmerman, director
To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org. You can also visit our welcome desk in the Welcome Center, located directly behind the sanctuary.
Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An Elder and his wife will be standing next to the pastor following the service to talk or pray with you.
Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Kiosks are available in the Narthex and in the Children’s Lobby. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available to assist you.
Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-K through fourth grade during the morning services. Leaders will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Children in pre-K through second grade remain in their classrooms until they are picked up by a parent.
Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We provide a Mother/Infant Room (room 160) located in the Ebenezer Building behind the sanctuary, and the Geneva Room is designated as a cry room for parents with fussy children. Both rooms are equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.
Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.
As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

§The Personal Confession of Sin
† Indicates the congregation standing. § Please kneel if able to do so.
We believe that God—who is perfectly merciful and also very just—sent his Son to assume the nature in which the disobedience had been committed, in order to bear in it the punishment of sin by his most bitter passion and death. So God made known his justice toward his Son, who was charged with our sin, and he poured out his goodness and mercy on us, who are guilty and worthy of damnation, giving to us his Son to die, by a most perfect love, and raising him to life for our justification, in order that by him we might have immortality and eternal life.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ................................................... Ephesians 2:4-7But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short, that it cannot save,or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; But our iniquities have separated us from Godand our sins have hidden his face from usso that he does not hear. Our mouths are filled with anger, our lips are quick to speak lies, our eyes are filled with illicit and unnecessary desires. Our feet are swift to run to eviland our thoughts are the thoughts of iniquity. We have lost our way and are far from the way of peace. The roads we travel are crooked and desperate. We hope for light, but behold darkness.Lord, only you can intercede and bring health to us.Only your strong arm can bring us salvation.May the Redeemer of Zion save us. Amen. Taken from Isaiah 59

Did Christ over sinners weep, And shall our cheeks be dry? Let floods of penitential grief, Burst forth from every eye. Behold the Son of God in tears, The angels wondering see. Hast thou no wonder, O my soul? He shed those tears for thee! He wept that we might weep, Might weep over sin and shame. He wept to show his love for us, And bid us love the same. Then tender be our hearts, Our eyes in sorrow dim, Til every tear from every eye, Be wiped away by him.
