ChIlDreN’S MeSSaGe Sarah Scribner #2233 The Faith We Sing — Where Children Belong

This, this is where children belong, welcomed as part of the worshiping throng. Water, God’s word, bread and cup, prayer and song: This is where children belong.

As the congregation sings, all children are invited to come forward.

I Am a Child of GodI am a child of God; You are God’s child, it’s true. Children of God are called to love one another, as Jesus taught to do.

As the congregation sings, the children will go to their Sunday School classes.

OUr MISSION & COMMON lIFe Rev. Patricia Farris We thank God for these opportunities for fellowship and service. Thanks be to God!

the OFFertOrY The Chancel Choir/Dr. James Smith, Music DirectorTune My Heart to Sing God's Praise! (arr. Lloyd Larsen)Come, thou Fount of ev'ry blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace; streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above; praise His name, I'm fixed upon it, name of God's redeeming love. Here I raise my Ebenezer, hither by Thy help I've come; and I hope, by Thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wand'ring from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, bought me with His precious blood. O to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be! Let Thy goodness like a fetter, bind my wand'ring heart to Thee: prone to wander, Lord, I know I'm prone to leave the God I love; here's my heart, O, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.

*UNISON PraYer OF DeDICatION When, God, were you unworthy of trust? When did you break your bond of covenant? In our distress we called out to you, and you heard us. Where there was injustice you sent us with your holy word. And so we respond out of ourselves and our provisions with an offering of thanksgiving. Anoint these, our meagre gifts, that they might become your gifts to those who call out to you presently. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
