WORTHWHILE PAPER IS A COLLECTION OF LIVELY SCREEN PRINTED PAPER GOODS DESIGNED BY KRISTEN DROZDOWSKI IN YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN. MY DESIGNS ARE MADE WITH HAND-LETTERING, ILLUSTRATIONS, SIMPLE SHAPES, REFRESHING COLORS AND CONTRAST. I 'M INSPIRED BY THE LAND, THE SEA, THE SKY, HUMANS, ANIMALS, AND THE POSITIVE FEELINGS THAT COME ALONG WITH THOSE THINGS.

I launched Worthwhile Paper in 2014 after several years of designing and screen prinitng posters. With a growing passion for hand lettering, I started having daydreams (and actual dreams) about having my own screen printed card & print line. I have always been inspired by positive thoughts and messages, so creating greeting cards has been such a fun leap to take with my work. In the beginning, I was intimidated by the idea of continuing to screen print every card and print due to the time, cost and energy. I ultimately decided that my adventures in making would revolve around sticking to a process I love dearly, creating something I’m proud of, bringing a little more beauty & happiness into the world, and never compromising quality for the sake of profit. Sometimes the most worthwhile things in life are those that take a lot of e�ort! The word “worthwhile” goes beyond making paper goods. To me, it’s an attitude about life. Living a worthwhile life is about valuing time & experiences, going outside, doing something creative, falling in love, surrounding ourselves with people who we share good times with, and spending energy on the things that matter.

Worthwhile Paper is a two-human-shop run by me and my other half, Steve. Our birthdays are a day apart, we’re first-time parents to an amazing little boy, and we're in love with the moon, co�ee, getting tattoos, and exploring. Our house is about a 15 minute walk from VGKids - the screen printing shop Steve co-owns, where we met, and where we print all of our products. We have always loved collaborating, and years later we're feeling luckier than ever to be operating a creative business together that combines our passions, and supports our family.

SCREEN PRINTING is a multi-step process of printing ink through a superfine mesh screen which acts like a stencil. Since each ink color is printed individually through its own screen, we are able to achieve very bold, bright and precise ink colors by hand-mixing each color to our liking.

HAND MADE Our paper goods are designed, printed & assembled by us with love in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

QUALITY Our process & materials result in a high quality product with a print that won't fade over time.

ECO-FRIENDLY We pride ourselves on using water-based screen printing inks and recycled white and kraft paper stocks from French Paper Company, a Michigan paper mill that operates on 100% hydropower. Additionally, we like to use our resources wisely - ganging up cards on larger sized sheets to save energy and materials, using leftover ink from other jobs to make new inks, using leftover scrap paper to make our promotional materials, re-using cardboard boxes from the shop's shipments, etc. We love earth.

PRODUCT PACKAGING & DISPLAY:All cards and prints will arrive in a clear sleeve. Art prints include a sturdy kraft backing. Cards include a recycledkraft or white envelope. Boxed sets of 6 greeting cards will arrive in a kraft box with a clear lid with 6 kraft envelopes.All note card sets will be packagned in one clear sleeve with 6 kraft envelopes.All items must be displayed in their original packaging. Card sets may not be broken up and sold individually.
