The Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation is currently seeking applications for a full-
time Education Specialist naturalist position that tentatively begins in January of 2016. If you
would like to join us in fulfilling our mission of “inspiring conservation of the natural world by
helping our guests explore, understand and value the wonders of Grandfather Mountain,” then
please complete the enclosed application thoroughly and attach your current résumé. This
position is a great opportunity for an individual to gain deeper experience in the fields of
environmental education, interpretation, and resource management. To apply an applicant
should have two-three years of job-related knowledge and experience.
An ideal candidate must provide quality customer service, be self-motivated, have an
appreciation for the natural world and the ability to speak publicly. These positions will need to
work weekends and holidays and occasionally during emergency situations.
Interviews for this position will be conducted in January. Please send your application packet by
