The 12th Annual All Greek Step Show

took place on April 15, 2011 in UCA’s Farris

Center. Members of IFC, IGC, NPC, and

NPHC teamed together to showcase their step-

ping talents with approximately 1,500 mem-

bers of the Conway and UCA communities in

attendance. In between the performances the

event hosts, Amir Rostampour and Desiree

Paulhamus, entertained the crowd and assisted in handing out

Greek Awards. All Greek organi-

zations have the opportunity to ap-

ply for Greek Awards and the win-

ners are recognized in front of the

large crowd at Step Show. After

nearly two hours of amazing per-

formances filled with loud music, Mary Poppins, stomping,

canes, gold boots, Dr. Seuss creatures, and im-

pressive acrobatics, the team of Alpha Sigma

Alpha and Omega Psi Phi claimed victory.

The members of this group are the first to re-

ceive the brand new Step Show Traveling Tro-

phy. This trophy will travel with the first

place winners each year and have their organi-

zation’s names engraved on the main plaque.

The second place winner was the team of Delta

Zeta and Kappa Sigma, while third place went to the team of Al-

pha Sigma Tau, Zeta Phi Beta, Phi

Beta Sigma, Phi Lambda Chi, & Be-

ta Upsilon Chi. Thank you to all

that participated and please be sure

to check out the list of Greek

Awards winners!

IFC Campus Cleanup

On Thursday, April 21, a small group of IFC fraternity men teamed up to help clean UCA’s campus. Issac Morales (former IFC VP of Programming) organized a ―Campus Clean Up Day‖ with the help of UCA’s Physical Plant. IFC volunteers gathered at the Physical Plant during X Period and were giv-en directions for how and where to clean up. For the remainder of the break, IFC men roamed around campus picking up garbage

and bonding with each other. The event was a great success and the Physical Plant hopes to continue this event a few times each semes-ter. If you have any other service ideas/opportunities for the men or IFC, please contact John Harrington at [email protected].

The majority of NPHC groups conducted intake over the spring 2011 semester. After much hard work, probates for many of the NPHC groups took place within the last week. Thir-teen (13) new members of Kappa Alpha Psi came off line about three weeks ago. Over the past weekend 40 more new members came off line within the NPHC com-munity. Fifteen (15) members crossed over into Alpha Kappa Al-pha, eight (8) into Delta Sigma Theta, three (3) into Zeta Phi Beta, and one (1) in Phi Beta Sigma. This has been a huge semester for NPHC in terms of academics, numbers, and service. Congrats to all the amazing mem-bers of the Divine Nine at UCA!

Cinderella’s closet is official-ly closed for the semester. The event started off as a two day drive at Bethlehem Church and exploded into a multi-week event thanks to press coverage in The Log Cabin, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, channel 11 news website, and ―Living Lo-cal‖ television program. After the drive officially ended last week, the women of Panhellenic totaled 63 dresses sold and 300 dollars donated to Bethlehem House! Congratulations to the la-dies of Panhellenic and Lindsey Osborne for their commitment to such a great service event!!
