Writer, hum or columnist and stand-up comedian Lee Camp to perform at SBU Vol. 11 Issue 11 Nov. 19, 2004 Writer, hum or columnist and stand-up comedian Lee Camp to perform at SBU On Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 8:30 p.m., 22-year-old comedian, author and humor columnist Lee Camp will bring peals of laughter to St. Bonaventure University’s Rathskeller. Camp has been performing stand-up for more than five years and has opened for multiple stars from “Saturday Night Live.” He has also been a weekly humor columnist for four years and has authored his own book. Lee is not your average comdian. His hip, hilarious humor will keep both young and old laughing hysterically. It’s his material, work ethic and extreme onstage likeablity that made Darrell Hammond ask Camp to open for him and earn rave reviews from Jimmy Fallon. Writer, hum or columnist and stand-upcomedian Lee Camp to perform at SBU

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 8:30 p.m., 22-year-old comedian,author and humor columnist Lee Camp will bring peals oflaughter to St. Bonaventure University’s Rathskeller.

Camp has been performing stand-up for more than fiveyears and has opened for multiple stars from “Saturday NightLive.” He has also been a weekly humor columnist for fouryears and has authored his own book.

The bus for Thanksgiving break will departfrom SBU on Friday, Nov. 19. The cost is $60 oneway and $75 round trip.

Departure times will be 11 p.m. from HickeyCircle, 11:15 p.m. from the Rob/Fal Circle and11:30 from Francis/Townhouses. The bus willarrive in Paramus, N.J., at the Paramus Park Mallat 6 a.m. and at NYC Penn Station, near MadisonSquare Garden, at 6:30 a.m.

The bus will return to SBU on Sunday, Nov. 28.Departure from NYC Penn Station will be at 9a.m. and from Paramus, N.J., at 9:30 a.m. Studentsare asked to be ready for pickup 15 minutes beforedeparture. Bus signups are in Student Activities,Room 208 in the Reilly Center.

music throughout 500 years and showshow Spanish music blended with Indianmelodies and the rhythms of Africanslaves to create a variety of LatinAmerican styles, including the Incamelodies of Peru and Bolivia, Argentinetangos, Caribbean merengues andBrazilian sambas.

“To adequately describe it, onerequires such terms as ‘lush’, evocative’and ‘brimming with emotion’ … his abili-ty to attain the first rank of guitarists can-not be doubted,” wrote Seattle ClassicalGuitar Society.

Burgess began studying guitar at theEstudio de Arte Guitarristico in Mexico

City with the renowned Argentine gui-tarist Manuel Lopez Ramos. He receiveda bachelor’s degree in music at theUniversity of Washington, and laterearned a Diploma di Merito at theAccademia Musicale Chigian in Siena,Italy, where he studied with OscarGhiglia. From 1984-1987, he receivedclasses from the great Spanish maestroAndres Segovia.
