Writing for Your

Who is the Class Geared For?
Not every

Enrichment vs CPE
- Professional class descriptions should talk about results
- Use a serious and knowing voice - Talk about results and end goals - Testimonials and examples work
well - Emphasize instructor qualifications

Don’t be Too General
- Often classes that are too general
get fewer enrollments than more specific ones
- For example: - Self Defense – 0 enrollments
- Self Defense for Women – Full Class - Find the balance between restricting
enrollments and providing specific value

How to Write the Best “Refreshed” Descriptions
- Talk to past students/best
customers (They are they ones that are interested in the subject) - Utilize testing and surveying
- Create a focus group - Understand who takes the class
