Claim Letters

How We Write A Claim Letter

Claim letters are formal letters which are written in order to claim for something.

The language used is very direct and contains no flowery words.

If you are writing a claim letter be sure that you are very well convinced of the claim.

If you have a speck of doubt, get it cleared. While writing a claim letter we suggest

attaching some proofs.

How We WriteA Claim Letter

If you are replying to a claim letter, be very clear in your decision.

If you are refusing the claim, use the word 'refuse' or 'denied' or 'rejected' etc.

In the same way if the claim is accepted use the word which clarifies the status.

In any case the language must be formal and polite. Do not be rude. Asking for claim in not wrong and denying it also has valid reasons.

Asking for something that is your right is nothing embarrassing.

This letter is regarding an insurance claim on my car, which got damaged recently in an accident. The contract number for my policy is IJ63275.

On the 13th of January 2011, my car, a Toyota Camry, was parked in the street below where I live. When I came downstairs to take my car, I noticed that my car was severely hit on the left side. Asking the people in the street, I found out that some truck swiped it and escaped away quickly. Nobody was able to take the license plate number down. I quickly informed the police about the incident who assured that they would do best to find out what happened.

After informing the authorities, I checked my insurance papers and found out that my car is covered completely for the damage. Thereon, I called your company and they informed me that they would cover for the damage.

So far, I have not received any correspondence from your company. I request your quick attention in this matter. I express my hope that this matter will soon be resolved, and I will get the insurance amount.
