HISTORICAL BIOS Brutus: I, Brutus, was a defender of freedom and for the rights of the people. I was close to Julius Caesar until he became a Tyrant and too hungry for power. Due to Caesar’s monarchial behavior, I helped assassinate him. Sometime later I was called a murderer instead of the true liberator that I was. Eventually Octavian’s (Caesar’s grandnephew) and Mark Antony’s armies defeated me at the Battle of Philippi.

Cleopatra: I was one of the greatest, most famous of all female rulers, and, may I say, the most loved (literally). I spoke several languages and seduced and charmed many leaders, liaisons which served me well politically. Caesar fell in love with me and helped me regain the throne as Queen of Egypt, but after his assassination, Mark Antony became the love of my life, and we fought many battles together. After falsely hearing of my death, he killed himself, and I ended my life soon after by way of a poisonous asp, a symbol of divine royalty, to be buried with him.

Christopher Columbus: Born in 1451 in Genoa, I was known as the "Great Admiral of the Ocean", having completed four voyages sponsored by the Crown of Castile. I was certain I reached India on these voyages. Later I was unjustly imprisoned, as were my brothers, but was released by my patron, King Ferdinand. I always looked upon my exploration achievements as the fulfillment of Biblical prophesy. Ingenue: In the late 1880’s, I drowned in the Seine. A pathologist at the Paris Morgue was taken by my beauty and made a mold of my face. This mask was mass produced throughout Europe; my half-smiling expression fascinated a generation. Even Albert Camus was intrigued, comparing my face to the Mona Lisa. Today, that mask is the face of the CPR doll, making mine “the most kissed face in history.”

Napoleon: I was considered one of the great figures of the 19th century. A military man at heart, I am considered one of the great tacticians in history, leading campaigns from the deserts of Egypt to the brutal winters of Russia. Also a prolific lawmaker, I established the most thorough set of codes since the Roman Empire. To this day, my methods continue to be debated amongst scholars and intellectuals alike. And by the way, I was not short, as some people think; I was 5’7”—average for my time.
