WRO MissionWorld Robot Olympiad brings together young people all over the
world to develop their creativity and problem solving skills through
challenging and educational robotics competitions

WRO organization (1)WRO is registered in Singapore. Office supported by Science Center Singapore.
The highest WRO authority is the WRO Advisory Council.
The WRO Board of Trustees is appointed by the AC and is responsible for all business relating matters
A WRO Secretary General is in charge of worldwide operations and reports to Board.
The AC and Board has representatives from China, Denmark, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and UAE.

National Organizers are responsible for implementing the WRO program in their individual countries
All WRO member countries are eligible to send teams to the international WRO final – numbers depend on total number of teams in the country
WRO National Organizers can be private companies, nonprofit organizations, universities or even an office in the MOE – or a combination of the above.

Open Category - a theme based competition in which students design robotics solutions
Regular Category - a challenge based competition on a table. Students design and program robots to complete specific tasks
WRO GEN II Football - teams of two autonomous robots play head to head
…and the College Category (pilot) for students aged 17-21. Similar to Regular Category – only very difficult and robots are constructed from metal kits.
