About the University
St.Peter's University is a Deemed-to- be University, sponsored by St.PetersInstitute of Higher Education and ResearchTrust, established in 2008 under Section 3 ofthe UGC Act, 1956. It was earlierfunctioning as St. Peter's EngineeringCollege which was established in the year1993 and affiliated to Anna University,Chennai, with all the eligible programmesaccredited by NBA AICTE, New Delhi.
It is situated in a spacious area between Annanur and Avadi Railway stationand it is well connected with frequent busand rail transport. In addition, our Universityis running its own transport betweenUniversity and different parts of city.
Research & Development
St. Peter's University is poised withgreater thrust for high quality education andinnovating programs leading to research anddevelopment. Ph.D and M.Phil programmes
were started in the year 2008 and 3 batchesof M.Phil students have completed their
programme.
Workshop on Research Methodologyis being conducted for M.Phil. and Ph.Dcandidates in the university every year from2009 onwards for the benefit of ResearchScholars.
Objectives of the Workshop
To create awareness of theimportance of research and to explain theresearch methodologies

Number of participants is restrictedto 100 and will be allotted on first paid
