Wednesdays, January 25 May 16 (no class April 11)The Kettle Moraine Youth String Orchestra is a chamber orchestra for youth string players. The goal of this group is to provide an
outlet for string players to grow to their ultimate potential. Students are introduced to a variety of music and musical styles. Theexpectation that all students push themselves is essential to reaching musical excellence as an ensemble.
Presto Stringsis open to grades 5-8, currently enrolled in school orchestra or study with a private instructor, entering SuzukiBook 2 or equivalent.
Bravura Stringsis for students entering Suzuki Book 3 or higher and is admitted by audition selection only, please see auditioninformation for detailed requirements. KMYSOs smaller ensemble sizes allow for a personalized approach to teaching as well as
opportunities for leadership and solo work that may not be available in larger ensembles.
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at auditions, the rst day of rehearsal, and on SchauerCenter.org/CSA.
There is a mandatory new parent meeting the rst day of rehearsal, meeting will last 30 min.

Mondays, January 23 May 14(no class April 9) - no audition necessaryThe Kettle Moraine Childrens Choir was founded in 2001, nowcelebrating its 10th Anniversary year, currently under the direction
of Celia Meisel. Mrs. Meisel teaches vocal technique using warm-ups, rounds, and singing games while instilling self condence and
artistic growth in each student. KMCCs purpose is to enrichthe lives of children and their families by creating a community ofyoung vocalists.
Students rehearse and perform as one ensemble, but are dividedinto two groups based on grade level. Concert Singers, grades 4-8,
serve as the leaders of the choir, rehearse 20 minutes longer, and
sing a featured song on the concert program. A detailed rehearsalschedule will be distributed the rst day of rehearsal, and available
at SchauerCenter.org/CSA.
There is a mandatory parent meeting the rst day of rehearsal, meeting will last 30 minutes.
New Dress Code: Students will be required to purchase concert dress attire, details will be given at the parent meeting.

Call to sign up and for full audition details: 262-670-0560, ext. 4. Storybook Dance Theatre of Wausau will hold auditions for SchauerSchool of Dance students ONLY. About 40 Schauer School of theDance students will be cast in the production and will rehearseand perform with the company live on stage. There is a $25 fee toparticipate, extra rehearsals will be required, and students will need
to provide tights and shoes related to their role. Students cast willneed to be available Sunday, January 8, Saturdays for rehearsal, andabsent from school on Friday, April 27.

The Schauer Center iscollaborating with WCT to offer classes in improvisation, comedy, character development, and acting. ACT strives to heightenstudents sense of cultural literacy through exing their creative muscle, hoping they will become future patrons, donors, volunteers,and ambassadors for the arts.

to learn to work with an ensemble cast. No experience needed.
auditiontecHniqueThis is a great tool for the serious young actor, everything from the basics of auditionetiquette to monologue selection to the different types of auditions you may encounter.
Students will memorize and perform a short monologue for the nal class.
create-a-PlaYEach session, through fun games and imagination exercises, students create their veryown new and original characters. These characters will then be written into an original,world premiere play that the students will perform on the last day of class. The onlyrequirement is an active imagination!
imProVisation
Learn the hilarious art of improvisation through fun games and outrageous scenes. Students will develop and strengthen theirown self-condence, communication skills, and social skills. No experience is needed, just a willingness to have fun.

10% Discount:For Friends of the Schauer Center, residentsliving within the boundaries of the West Bend SchoolDistrict with support from the West Bend CommunityFoundation, or if registering for more than one class in asession. Discount applies to the lesser value class. One-day workshops under $40 are NOT subject to 10% multipleclass/sibling discount.
Refund Policy: A 50% refund of the tuition in the formof a gift certicate will be in effect through the second class/rehearsal. After the second class, NO REFUNDS.
Class Size:All CSA classes carry a minimum/maximum classsize that determines if the class will be offered. Classes notmeeting the minimum may be cancelled. Maximum levels aredetermined by classroom space or instructor/student ratios.
Payment Plans: Payment plans may be arranged with theSchauer Center for any class over $100. However, a minimumof 1/4 of the tuition fee must be paid prior to the star t of therst class/rehearsal. Payment plans must be paid with a creditor debit card, and completed agreement must be turned intothe Schauer Center prior to the rst day of class.
Tuition Assistance: Financial need based assistance is
available on a rst come rst serve basis for eligible families.For an application, call 262-670-0560, ext. 204.
Waiting Area Policy:Creative Arts Studios - Adults and children may waitin the designated waiting area. Children should not be leftunattended in this space. Food and drink are allowed.Schauer Center - Due to numerous activities, event set-up, and valuable artwork on display, the Schauer Centerprohibits parents from waiting in the Gallery (second oor)after dropping children off for CSA class(es). If a parentchooses to stay on premises for the duration of a childsclass, the Schauer Center requests that parents wait on thelower lobby level.

A masterclass geared towards intermediate to advanced levelguitarists, but is open to all experience levels and observers.The workshop will introduce right and left hand technique,exercises in listening, rhythm, and playing together as a group.The CGT will share their 20+ years of experience as professionaltouring musicians. Bring an acoustic guitar, guitar strap, and pick.Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to tune yourguitar before class begins.The CGT plays a unique style, with guitars interweaving anintricate knit work of interlocking parts to form unique originalsand cleverly arranged interpretations of jazz, classical music, andeven surf rock. These three revered musicians are Bert Lams fromBelgium, Hideyo Moriya from Japan, and Paul Richards from Utah.
