Instagram Incentives • WTOC News Picture of the day .

• Description: Upload a picture of a news story that’s going to be featured on the 11 o’clock nightly show and ask them a question about it

• The first person who comments with the right answer within 10 minutes of the question being asked gets a WTOC souvenir

McDonald's to use chicken ………….(Finish the rest of the news story headline)

• S4S (Shout out for a shout out)• Description: If one of our

followers shout us out on instagram for others to follow us and watch our station then we shout them out for the day.

• To know that they are shouting us out they have to hash tag #wtoc11 #s4s

• Follower Spotlight• Description: Upload a 15 sec.

video of why you love watching WTOC.

• When they caption their video they need to #WTOC11 and we can randomly select a video to be displayed on the mid morning live show

• This will allow us to gain more followers and come close to reaching 10,000 followers on IG

• Daily trivia of the day • Description: Ask a question like:

• What does WTOC stand for?• They have five minutes to

answer it and the first person who has the correct answer within those five minutes will get an autographed mug with all the news anchor signatures and other wtoc souvenirs that has the news anchors signatures

• They will have to tweet the correct answer and hash tag #WTOC11DT

• Description: The contest will be if you had 2k who would you split it with

• So you'll hash tag, example: #2ksplit

• Mention or tag that person you'll split that 2k with

• hash tag #2ksplitWTOC11• We will select a winner 30

minutes after the twitter post has been tweeted

• They’ll win a 2 thousand gift card but the winner will get 1 thousand and the person they mentioned in the tweet will get the other thousand

• The first 20 people who tweet us about reaching 20k followers get’s a prize or a WTOC souvenir

• WTOC Trivia• Each day on Facebook we will ask a

trivia question about the station and give away a prize to build up more buzz on our Facebook page so we can gain more likes, like:• What's the anniversary of the station?• Out of our current anchors who has

been at WTOC the longest? • What does WTOC stand for?• What was WTOC before it was a news

station? • They will have a 30 min to answer it.

They will comment below the post and after that 30 min time slot is over the winner will get WTOC souvenir.

Facebook Incentives • Trending Post

• For each day that we have popular news story it should be trending on Facebook

• No only do we want numerous of shares but we want majority of our news stories to be part of popular post/popular news feeds

• After every popular news story on Facebook hash tag it so can be not only can we have more shares but more likes and our post want seem as delayed

• Since we are close to 125k likes we can do a picture of the actual number 125k and have things that correlate to the station inside the number
