VSH2 NitrogenOver Hydraulic Unit

Reciprocating rod pumping unit

Operates with conventional sucker rod system

Uses nitrogen-over-hydraulic technology

Direct drive pump

Variable SPM in seconds

Greater well flexibility

Electric or gas operated

VSH2Nitrogen-over-Hydraulic System

Two-stage cylinder

Nitrogen over Hydraulic Accumulator

Nitrogen pressure pushes the accumulator piston down forcing the hydraulic oil from the accumulator into the upper stage of the cylinder lifting 2/3 of the rod and fluid weight.

Polish rod direction is reversed via proximity switches sending a signal to the Electric Displacement Valve that changes the chamber in the lower stage to which the hydraulic oil flows.

VSH2 Pumping UnitOperating Principle

Nitrogen pushes down on the accumulator piston. Hydraulic fluid under piston is forced into upper chamber thus pushing the cylinder piston up.

Servo Valve routes pressurized fluid to lower stages to cycle the cylinder up or down.

Proximity switches activate the EDC valve

Change SPM by turning switches

VSH2 BenefitsSpecifically developed for the fields with heavy crude

oil, wells with rod fall problems and better well control.

Lifts greater loads using less energy

Handles PPRL’s up to 40,000 lbs.

Pumps depths to 10,000 ft.

Changes strokes per minute with a turn of the switch in either direction

Srokes per Minute can be as slow as 0 and as fast as 9 (depending on model)

ARTIFICIAL LIFT SYSTEMS

Three sizes - 60”,120” & 150”

SPM - 0 to 9 (depending on unit size)

PPRL - 35,000 - 40,000 lbs.

Three moving parts - cylinder, accumulator and direct drive pump (excluding prime mover)

Safety shutdowns - rod separation, high pressure, low fluid level, high oil temp.

SPM changes with the turn of a switch

Adjustable stroke lengths

Skid size - 5ft x 8ft x 74”

VSH2Why is this System Different ?

Nitrogen-over-Hydraulic technology

Three moving parts

Greater rod loads than conventional units

Change SPM quicker

Wider range of applications

Lower maintenance

Can reduce energy consumption

VSH2Rod Separation Plate

When the pump sticks, separation between plate and switch occurs

This de-strokes the unit and stops the unit from stroking until the polish rod falls or the pumper is aware of the problem

If the polish rods falls later, the unit continues to stroke until separation occurs again

A red alarm light indicates separation has occurred sometime during the day or night.

VSH2Overview

When to use - temporary or permanent

Well evaluating and testing

During downtime for repairs of conventional

Lengthily delivery times

Production decline to reduce energy consumption

Looking for a unit that can reduce freight, setup charges, site preparation, maintenance and energy consumption

Greater well control

Greater well flexibility
