A. What is/are the main issue/issues in the film? The main issue in the film is that the Sam, the staff nurse in the hospital, has direct

information from the client named Clay Beresford. She used this information to take advantage to his wealth.

What are the benefits, burdens and risk involved? The benefit that Sam should acclaim is the wealth of Mr. Beresford whenever the

plan succeeds. The burden involved in this movie is the feelings of the Actor and his mother while knowing the truth about Sam. The risk for this movie is the life of Clay.

B. What values of the main characters are shown in the film? The values shown in the film are trust and sense of

What beliefs/viewpoints do they uphold? The belief they support is that they believe that being healthy is the wealth you can

keep no one can have it. You should nourish your body with healthy things so that you were able to survive. And when someone is in need you should be able to help them for we should help hand in hand to survive.

C. What are the aspects in the film which show two opposing points of view? The topic that shows opposing points is how to save the life of John’s son. He did

his part to save his child but then he committed crime that causes bad to him for he should be imprisoned for how many years.

D. What did the characters in the film do to show their stand? The character who showed how to stand is John. For he did something to save his

son. But then he did something bad that causes more issues in rescuing the life of his child and it affects his daily activities for he is imprisoned already.

II. APPLICATION

The ethical issue in the movie is that he wanted to suffer his life for the exchange for his son’s survival. He wanted to commit suicide to donate his own heart for his son but then the doctor doesn’t want to allow him to do that for it is against the ethical principle.

B. Considering the main issue in the film, when decisions have to be made, what should be the stronger basis? Giving the greatest benefit to the one’s concerned or ethical /legal aspects rules/principles? Explain

The biggest decisions that need to be done is that if it’s lesser evil. For example in the movie you should think first before you did the hostage taking in the vicinity. You should think first what are the consequence that might happen to you if you did that and what are the sanctions that you can have that’s why you should be able to think your decisions first before doing it.

C. If there is conflict between benefits and principles, What should be prioritized or Which should be the first consideration? and why?

At first you should think. Think on what are the consequences when you choose the option. Prioritized the things need to be done in the movie you should prioritize the health condition of the child but then you need to consider what are the protocols in the institution regarding the procedure that will be done.

III. JUDGEMENT

A. Is the film presenting a way to improve man’s life or to degrade/ destroy it? Explain

In the film it shows how to improve one’s life for you should choose the most important thing which is to extend someone’s life but then John didn’t accept the result about the protocol that the one who is first who submitted the name will be the first one to be served but then he worked hard to make his son to be the first but then out of misunderstanding he committed crime.

B. If your answer is to improve, is there a modification that can be done to further enhance the situation? Explain. If your answer is to degrade or destroy, suggest an alternative way to prevent degrading or destroying

The further way to enhance is to be able to wait for your turn everybody will be served but then he can’t wait for his son’s turn that’s why he didn’t think about the consequence that might happen to him and he committed crime that enables him to be imprisoned.

C. What are the possible difficulties/problems which will be met if you were to enhance the situation and if you were to prevent degrading /destroying?

The difficulties that will be met in the situation is that I can’t decide on what to do on what should I decide. I must think more carefully regarding the situation that I was in so that I would come out with a good decision and wouldn’t be able to commit mistake.

IV. ACTION

Choose a character in the film that needs to make a decision. If you were that character, what could you have done after weighing the pros and the cons of the circumstances surrounding you.

If I were to pick the character, I will pick John. Even in the movie he decided on what to do but then I would think the good side and the bad side of my decision so that I wouldn’t commit any harmful to myself or to others. because in every decision there would be consequence that must be faced and be able to handle to have a better future.
