How do I enroll? How do I get more information? Applicants must attend one of the following mandatory orientations and follow through the program acceptance process. Program orientations at John Adams Center on: Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 12:30 p.m., Room 313 or Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 12:30 p.m., Room 313

Where will the classes be held?

At John Adams Center (1860 Hayes St. @ Masonic St.) and selected clinical sites.

How much will it cost? (subject to change without prior notice)

$ 46 per semester unit for California resident

$234 per semester for nonresidents + $7 per unit for capital outlay fee + $46 per unit for enrollment fee

$ 17 for Student Health Benefit fee for ALL students

* Addition costs (if applicable) for books, certification, equipment, materials and/or uniforms, etc.

* Students are required to have uniforms, get a physical exam and fingerprinting. * For CalWORKs students who qualify, tuition fees will be waived and childcare, transportation passes, supplies and textbooks can be provided.

What will this program do for me?

This training program prepares the student for entry-level employment on the nursing career ladder. At the end of this program, students will be ready to take the State Certification Exam for Nursing Assistant and with the basic skills they have learned, students will be prepared to care for patients in convalescent homes, skilled nursing facilities and acute care hospitals.

Can I receive college credit for these classes?

All three classes receive college credit. The classes are particularly suited to further studies in the Nursing and Health Career Programs.

What qualifications do I need to enter the Nurse Assistant Program?

1) Students must be 18 years or older.

2) Must place into ENGL 90 or English 86 or ESL 150 or successfully complete English L or ESL

140. 3) PREREQ: Certification of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); approved by American

Heart Association AHA or American Red Cross for Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider only. 4) A physical exam and current immunizations; print out proof of immunizations. 5) Fingerprinting (Live Scan form) submitted to Department of Health Services. 6) Criminal background check/drug test.

City College of San Francisco offers testing and classes for many levels of ESL instruction and basic skills (math and English) classes for those who need them.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the schedule in order to be seated. Seating is limited to 30.
