• The Coordination Center for Information, Communication and Management Technologies was established in 2002 under the e-Government Project of the UNDP and the Bulgarian Council of Ministers. The team of the Centre prepared the “e-Government Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria”, the “Implementation Plan of e-Government Strategy” and many other documents, supporting the implementation of new technologies in state administration.

• CCICMT plays role in the coordination of implementation of EU recommendations in the field of eEurope/e-Government. The experts of the Centre study the EU policies in development of eEurope, participate in discussions of work groups on e-Governance, and present the results of Bulgaria in the process of synchronization with EU legislation and with other eEurope requirements. As a result of the active cooperation under IDA and IDAbc Programme.

• CCICMT is responsible for development of policies and solutions related to the information society and e-governance, as well as for coordination and control for their implementation on state level. The Center is an essential unit of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers and particularly of the CCIS, operating in the field of monitoring of implementation of national programs related to the ICT.
