Findings

• Technologies – broad array of pre-class & asynchronous activities

• Economic/Time Constraints – Considerable lead time; support staff

• Pedagogical Acceptance – Clear expectations; Some frustration; Most adapted

• Outcomes – No clear consensus

• Conceptual frameworks – Very little used to create new courses

Starter Questions

• What does it say that this scoping review is based on 28 articles? Do we know enough about flipped classrooms to be able to draw conclusions? If not, what questions do we need to ask to learn more?

• This scoping review refers to articles from five different countries. How might cultural differences between (and within) countries affect the effectiveness of the flipped format?
