Regular items we recycle are:

• Printer cartridges• Paper• Cardboard• Fluorescent tubes• CDs/DVD, bottle tops, wine corks (from home)• Stationery items

• comb and slide binders• pens and pencils• ring binders, folders, lever arch, plastic wallets

• A5 envelopes• Stamps• Food waste• Tea bags and coffee grounds • Polystyrene trays, tins, jars, kitchen plastics

Stacking trays in a convenient place makes it easy for staff to store and re-use recyclable items.

These green bins store some recyclable items from home.

We had a tidy up and found that we had a surplus of binders.

We are offering these free to schools.

Our information touch screen includes information on our eco progress.

As you can see we have made good use of every little nook and cranny.

Our display boards show a variety of interesting eco information – we keep changing the information to act as constant reminders to staff and visitors.

Energy data was taken from West Mercia’s energy website.

Graphs were created to show comparisons dating back to 2005-06.

We have an eco notice board that displays:

We now email telephone messages to colleagues rather than write on a message pad.

• We serve FairTrade products

• We buy from local suppliers

• Water cooler is plumbed into the mains water supply

• We plan to have our own herb garden soon

• NEW! Coffee stations and equipment are shut down and switched off at the end of training

• NEW! Our aim is to switch off the catering refrigerator during school holidays

We hung sunflower heads in the rear car park to feed the birds during the winter.

Since 2006 we have raised £891.56 from all sorts of fund raising events.

We have donated to:• Breast Cancer Care• ActionAid coffee break• Jeans for Genes Appeal• Cancer Research UK• Children in Need• Macmillan Cancer Support• Poppy Appeal
