Are you a Christian Business Owner, working dili-gently to make your business successful?

Are you a Christian Business Owner is looking for a networking opportunity with other Christian Business Owners in the Upstate?

Are you a Christian Business owner that is looking for a Christian Mentor, or looking to become a Christian Business Men-tor?

A small group of Chris-tian Business Owners have assem-bled themselves, prayerfully to start what is going to be know as a Christian Business Coalition. This Coalition is going to be a group of Christian Business Owners who’s purpose is going to be to Inspire, Support, Exalt and Encourage. (I-SEE).

There are hundreds of Christian Business Owners in the Upstate that are making it on their own and just as many that are struggling to make it work. They

are working diligently every day to make their business a success and as a fellow Christian, we should get out and support and encourage one another to be suc-cessful.

The bible teaches that we are in the world, but not of the world. Being in the world means that we still have to cope with the world issues and deal with the world’s orders (money, laws, structures, etc.) and with that, we should be working together (as the body of Christ) to encourage others success.

Many Christian Busi-ness Owners are good at what they do. From plumbing, land-scaping, cooking, cleaning, writ-ing, manufacturing, etc., but many times they are enduring the troubles of the world and just get worn out trying to be that beckon of light while operating a busi-ness. The Power of Worship

Pastor Joseph B. Harri-son Sr.

Many sermons have been preached in order to equip, em-power, and inspire the believers as well as aid us as we strive to win others for the kingdom of God. We have often heard sermons about faith, which is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of

things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 says, “The ability to believe that God’s will for your life will come to pass even though there is no evidence of it in your present state or when common sense and reasoning says there is no way.”

We’ve often heard ser-mons concerning prayer and the power of prayer, “the act of commu-nicating one-on-one intimately and openly with God.”

Praise is also frequently expressed; and yes, we are drawn to the spoken word or the different expressions used in proclaiming the spoken word.

Many times we overlook the tremendous power and inde-scribable experience of true wor-ship. Worship has been defined as an expression of reverence, to admire greatly, devotion and or to have an intense love for something or some-one. Worship is to become spiritu-ally intimate with God. It is an active relationship born out of love and devotion. It is to disrobe spiritually where nothing is hidden from the lover of our souls. It is the experi-ence where we see God high and holy and see ourselves unworthy of His favor, Isaiah 6:1-7. Worship is the heartbeat of the local church. A healthy church is a church that

Values, Ethics, and In-tegrity in your Busi-

nesses

“In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 17:6

Business in America and the world today.

The values, ethics, and integrity of our society have undergone drastic changes in the last 40 to 50 years. History shows there have always been scandals in the Government and busi-ness, and yes, the church. However, in our increasing efforts in this country to sepa-rate church and state we have also separated moral values from the operation of our society in general. The lines between what is right and wrong have been blurred to the point that often we think wrong is right. Our nation is attempting to do away with any moral absolutes and make everything situational. Even some Christian churches have

been caught in this deception and have made sin acceptable.

As a result of this shift of our overall moral baseline, the marketplace functions more and more under a value system which is not based on past accepted standards of conduct. Ideas such as ‘it’s not wrong unless you get caught’ and ‘what they don’t know won’t hurt them’ permeate business dealings. Clearly, there are many moral companies and people in business, but there are also those that will get away with what they can. Many businesses act in a mor-ally responsible way only be-cause they fear the conse-quences of not complying with the laws and regulations enacted by Government. Even today, we see large cor-poration giants suffer the con-sequences of unscrupulous acts being fined millions and even billions of dollars for activities, which were unethi-cal or illegal.

Values, ethics, and

integrity can only be achieved through inward change. As Jesus instructed Nicodemus, “Unless a man is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” I believe Jesus was saying when we have an in-ward change we will then be able to see how to conduct ourselves.

Our model of val-ues, ethics, and integrity is contained within the Bible, teaching us all we need to know about remaining just and righteous in our business actions as well as our every-day lives.

I pray this help you to stay on the path of your Journey and you walk according to Christ Jesus.

to the spirit, from weak to strong, from victims to victorious. Even our vocabulary is changed from “I can’t,” to “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Worship allows us to break the mold of the ordinary and experience the extraor-dinary. To worship draws us into the presence of God and in His presence there is fullness of joy. Yes, there is something vital missing when we fail to worship; it’s like going to a spiritual barbecue and asking where is the meat.

The believer must be moved by more than a large activity house called a church. He or she must experience the individual daily touch of God that can only come through true worship.

spends time in heartfelt expressions of worship. There is nothing so satis-fying, refreshing, wonderful, and meaningful in the Christian experi-ence as worship.

Daily worship is like tak-ing a daily walk with God and if He walks with you, He will talk with you. He will also elevate, strengthen, and cleanse you. Worship is the spiritual connection between God and man. Spiritual connection pro-duces spiritual people and spiritual people can move mountains, experi-ence healing and total empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

True worship is traveling with God and if you travel with God, He will never sit you down in the same place, “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” To be transformed means to be changed; worship brings about a change in our lives; we are changed from the flesh
