CBS tutor is the newly developed training software used for recurrent X-ray image evaluation training.

This state-of-the-art Computer Based Trai-ning (CBT) software was especially deve-loped to meet increased needs in the civil aviation market.

Using CBS tutor, screeners‘ skills are intensively enhanced to quickly and reliably detect threat items in X-ray images, which is essential in order to increase overall security.

This is achieved by the specially developed “level” design of the training software, including its various training sessions and reporting mechanisms that provide the instructor with an excellent overview of the students’ overall performance.

Needless to say, as with all our other OTS products, CBS tutor is absolutely user-friendly and very easy to handle – making it the most efficient and cost-effective training software for X-ray screener training on the market.

STI, with OTS, is the only CBT provider authorised to use the original X-ray images taken by Smiths Detection machines. Therefore there is no loss of image quality – all images used in the OTS simulators are displayed in unique image quality making it the only true-type X-ray simulator worldwide.

Individual learning progressIn order to train your screeners effectively, a form of training is required which takes their individual learning progress into account.

When first starting to use CBS tutor, a screener starts at difficulty level one. In order to progress to the next difficulty level, a predefined pass rate is required in the current level.

The learning methodology of CBS tutor takes the individual learning progress of each student into account. Each screener gets to see image material that correlates to his current training level. Only through constant training can the screener improve his knowledge and move to the higher difficulty levels at which he again will be challenged to improve his training level even further.
