Introduction to XCC Cloud With XCC Cloud you can turn IBM Connections Cloud in an integrated Intranet that spans Internal Communications, Collaboration and Custom Applications.
XCC Cloud is a true SaaS offering available on a per user / per month basis.

I Admin Guide
1.1 Choose your IBM BLUEMIX Data CenterYou can choose from two different BLUEMIX Data Centers (US/UK) to register your XCC.
It is recommended to choose the Data Center concurrent to your IBM Connections Cloud, using the following registration-forms:
UK: http://xcc-clients.eu-gb.mybluemix.net/registration.html
US: http://xcc-clients.mybluemix.net/registration.html
1.2 Validate your Host Name / Intranet-URL The validation checks, if your Intranet-URL ist available
Without Custom Domain your URL will behttps://host-name.eu-gb.mybluemix.net/xcc/cloud (BLUEMIX Data Center UK)
https://host-name.mybluemix.net/xcc/cloud (BLUEMIX Data Center US)
With Custom Domain your Intranet URL will be: https://host-name.custom-domain.org/xcc/cloud
2.1 Register XCC as Internal App Log in to your IBM Connections Cloud
Open the Link in the next step to register XCC as an Internal App in your Connections Cloud
2.1. Register XCC as Internal AppRegister XCC as a new Internal App

Copy and paste the Callback URL from the registration form
2.2. Copy OAuth2 CredentialsView credentials by clicking the down-arrow beside your App Name
Copy your credentials from here:ClientID
Client Secret
3.1. Paste OAuth2 CredentialsPaste the OAuth2 Credentials into the registration form
3.2. Submit Registration FormPlease choose the Connections Cloud URL your company is registered
If your Internal App’s name is not “XCC” please change the Application Name in the registration form accordingly#
Fill out the contact information fields
3.3. Grant Access to XCCThe OAuth2 Protocol used for interconnection between XCC and Smartcloud requires each user to actively grant access from the XCC application to Smartcloud
This grant is mandatory and cannot be done by anyone else than the user. Smartcloud and XCC detect automatically if this grant has been permitted and asks for permission if not.
In the process of logging in to XCC for the first time, the users browser will prompt the user with a screen asking for permission
You should now click the button ‘Grant Access and Leave the Site’
If you check the "Always grant xcc access and do not show this message again" option, the browser will never ask you again for permission until the grant has automatically expired (which will be the case if you haven't used XCC in a period of 90 days)
3.4. Enter XCC License-KeyAfter you have granted access for XCC, you will be asked for a valid XCC License-Key.

Having entered a correct XCC License-Key, you will be redirected to XCC
4.1. Create Intranet Landing Page Open the ‘Customize’-Menu tcreate your intranet landing page
Create a new widget for your landing page
4.1 Create Intranet Landing Page Choose which type of widget you want to create (1)
Enter an unique ID and create the widget (2 & 3)
Add the widget to your landing page by click (4)
4.1 Create Intranet Landing Page Configure your widget to show the content you want it to show

4.2. Add Intranet Landing Page to IBM Connections Navigation Bar
It is possible to add a custom button to IBM Connections Cloud Topline-Navigation bar via IBM Connections Cloud Configuration
Go to the Manage Organization page in your Admin-Panel and choose Organization Extensions or use the link below

Add an extension by clicking the Add Extensions button and fill in the the form:

Extension Point:Choose Service Menu
Name:Replace <your-intranet-url> (e.g. org-id.mybluemix.net or org-id.my-company.com) and fill in:

Type:Choose Action
Icon URL:Fill in the URL of the Icon you want to use. Make sure it is an icon that is available over HTTPS with a valid SSL Certificate.
URL:Fill in the URL of your intranet and add /xcc/cloud (e.g. https://<your-org-id>.mybluemix.net/xcc/cloud or https://<your-org-id>.my-company.com/xcc/cloud)

1. User Guide: Grant Access to your Intranet As a user you have to grant access when accessing the landing page of your intranet for the first time
Please use the URL provided by your company to access the intranet
