Chapter 1 - Integrating the VirtualViewerwith xCP DesignerThe following explains how to integrate VirtualViewer win xCP Designer:

1. Get the SnowboundVirtualViewer.jar file from Snowbound and place it in local

machine where xCP Designer is present.

2. Open your design time xCP Application in xcp Designer.

3. Go toApplication Model Tab in Designer.

4. Once in ApplicationModel Tab, you will find on the right hand corner, Libraries.

5. Here wewill either add or update the libraries for Snowbound related server end pro-

gramming done for SB Integration.

6. The name of the jar file uploaded is:

“sb.SnowboundVirtualViewer-2.3.0.jar”

sb - It is namespace for the Imported library which we can provide while configuring

2.3.0 - It is the version label of the jar which we give while configuring

8. On Click of Add /Update Library, the following screen appears. Please select the jar file

from the local folder and in Next screen, enter namespace and version. Click on Finish.

9. Go to Application UI tab in xCP Designer. And create one view Base content.

10. From the palette, drag and drop viewer widget and rename the properties as shown in the

screenshot below and ensure to select preferred viewer as Snowbound.

11. Once above steps are done, click on theSave All icon in menubar of xCPDesigner.12. And click on theRefresh button.

13. Then click on theValidate button.

14. Then click on thePackage button.

15. On Click of thePackage Application button, place where you want the export to

appear.

16. Click onOK and click on Finish.

17. xCP Designer will package, validate the design time Application with the Snowbound

related changes. The outcome of above step is a *.war file, which we need to deploy in

the Application server where we have configured all the prerequisites  as per the xCP 2.3

deployment guide.

18. TheWAR file by design time <Namespace>-Application name-<Version> will be cre-

ated.

19. Rename theWAR file to the name of the application which you want to show in the URL

As an example, xCPSnowbound

l Deploy theWAR file.

l Follow Guide-2, to configure the deployment WAR for VirtualViewer.
