Ken Dryden Scholarships are awarded to select young people, currently or formerly in the care of the Canadian child welfare system, who demonstrate great achievement and promise. Each scholarship covers up to $3,000 or 80% of the cost of tuition and fees, whichever is less, and is renewable annually.

The Fred Ross Scholarship, valued at $8000, is available to a graduating New Brunswick student entering post secondary studies in visual art or fine craft at a recognized institution. This is a 4 year renewable scholarship. An initial payment of $2000 will be awarded on entrance to a recognized institution. It will be renewed annually based on demonstration of successful completion of established university standards in first, second third years of study.

Value: A maximum of $5000 is awarded on the recommendation of an independent jury of art professionals.

The top six Bell candidates will receive a $12,000 Bell Scholarship, which is renewable for a maximum of $48,000 over four years. Judges will look at your official transcript, extracurricular activities, references and a 500 word essay on a specified topic. Scholarships are not automatically renewed; however, students who continue to meet the specified criteria are eligible to re-apply each year of their under-graduate study. It is the responsibility of the student to re-apply by submitting an application annually, a transcript of marks showing a grade point average of 3.5 or better (or comparable average) and current references. Students already enrolled in a program of study are eligible to participate. Students who meet the eligibility criteria are eligible to apply at any point during their course of study.

Six $1,000 student scholarships will be awarded annually to any AAC student member enrolled in a post-secondary institution in an aquaculture-related program. Selection is based on scholastic ability - transcript of marks; interest and involvement in aquaculture (eg. Summer employment); publication record, if any; and a 250 word essay on where the applicant sees him/herself contributing to sustainable aquaculture development in the future.

Scholarships are open to girl and adult members who are pursuing post-secondary education at a recognized college, university or trades program. Whether you’re studying engineering, education, political science, or anything in between, there’s a scholarship that is right for you!

The NEADS National Student Awards Program is offered to encourage full access to post-secondary education for persons with disabilities, who often have greater barriers to participation in higher education, as well as extra costs because of their disabilities. Students must currently be registered in and continuing at post-secondary institution and provide documented proof of registration as part of the application and on receipt of the award. The award will be offered to outstanding applicants who meet the criteria of the program. The awards are paid directly to the post-secondary institution (in the students’ accounts) that the recipients are attending to defray the cost of tuition fees for post-secondary study. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have a permanent disability, be currently registered in and returning to a full-time program of study at an accredited Canadian post-secondary college or university. Full-time status is at least 40% of a full course load. Students must demonstrate a strong commitment to their academic discipline, exemplary record of volunteerism and/or employment and demonstrated potential to be an outstanding participant in the community. Value: $1,000 Dialogue New Brunswick is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a grade 12 student who will have graduated high school within the Anglophone Sector of the New Brunswick Department of Education as well as a $1,000 scholarship to a grade 12 student who will have graduated high school within the Francophone Sector of the New Brunswick Department of Education. UNB has streamlined the scholarship application process. One online application covers all programs, all campuses, and about 400 different scholarship opportunities! Interested students need to complete the scholarship application online found at unb.ca/scholarships and be re-assured that the application will come directly to the Undergraduate Awards Office. No paper please!

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Students MUST apply for scholarship support at UNB. One online application covers ALL programs, ALL campuses and about 400 different scholarship opportunities!

The New Brunswick Football Officials Association is offering bursaries to students graduating from any New Brunswick High School, for the purposes of assisting their education beyond the High School level.

Two bursaries are available, each in the amount of $350. One student in the AAA Division, and one from the AA Division, will be selected to receive a bursary. Each applicant will therefore be asked to submit one application only.

Learning Matters Education Charity provides financial assistance to Canadian children who would not otherwise have the financial means to obtain a post-secondary education. Bursaries are made available to Canadian undergraduate post-secondary students with a stated objective to make a positive contribution to Canadian society, and who have a demonstrated financial need. Learning Matters is pleased to make available six bursaries across the country. Each bursary is valued at $2,500 and is to be applied towards the cost of tuition.

This bursary may be awarded to selected, qualifying Canadian students who have had an immediate family member (mother, father, legal guardian, or sibling) killed in an impaired-driving related crash and who are pursuing any full-time, post-secondary educational program that is approved by a provincial Ministry of Education.
