Adam is part of the National Sprint Group based at Loughborough University and is coached by James Gibson. The Commonwealth Games is his debut for an international team and at the back end of 2013 he broke the 100m Butterfly British short course record.
Qualified Events: 100m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle
Adam won silver and bronze in Delhi in the 4x100m Freestyle relay and the 4x100m Medley relay. Two years later he was part of the 4x100m Medley Relay that finished fourth at the London Olympics in what was his second Games.

Lewis is competing at his first major international competition in Glasgow. He finished third at the British Championships in 200m IM to secure his place on the team for Glasgow. He also set a world record for the 100x100m relay in his Swim4Leukaemia charity event.

James made his Olympic debut in London where he competed in the 4x100m Freestyle relay. Glasgow is his first Commonwealth Games and he is set to take on club and team-mate Adam Brown in the 50m and 100m Freestyle.

Daniel is the reigning bronze medallist from Delhi in the 1500m Freestyle in his Games debut. He competes in both the pool and open water completing distances of 10km. At his first Olympics in London he finished fifth in the 10km Marathon swim.

Nicholas competed for Great Britain at the 2013 European Junior Championships. In 2014 he won 400m Freestyle silver and 200m Freestyle bronze at the British Championships to qualify for his first Commonwealth Games.

James had his stand-out year in 2013 with two gold medals at his second European Junior Championships in Poznan. He then made his senior World Championship debut and finished fifth in the 400m Freestyle and then lead off the 4x200m Freestyle relay as they finished seventh. He completed his year with three medals at the World Junior Championships, landing two silver medals in the 200m and 400m Freestyle then anchoring the British quartet to 4x200m Freestyle relay gold.
Qualified Events: S14 200m Freestyle
Thomas is the first S14 to compete for Team England at a Commonwealth Games and will be making his senior international debut at the competition. He has also qualified for the IPC Swimming European Championships and goes into Glasgow ranked fifth in the world in the S14 200m Freestyle.

Qualified Events: SM8 200m IM
Ollie goes into his first Commonwealth Games as reigning Paralympic, World and European Champion in the 200m IM and ranked number one in the world. He was one of seven gold medallists for Paralympics GB at London 2012 and has gone from strength-to-strength ever since. He has also qualified for the IPC Swimming European Championships this summer.

Jay trains in Bath with Mark Skimming and is making his international debut in Glasgow after winning silver in the 1500m Freestyle at the British Championships. He also finished fourth in the 400m Freestyle at what was his breakthrough British Championships at Tollcross.

Max won gold at the World Junior Championships in Dubai (August 2013) in the 4x200m Freestyle relay in a new World Junior Record. This followed his gold at European Junior Championships in Poznan (July 2013) in the 4x200m Freestyle relay and silver in the 200m IM.

Roberto made a breakthrough in 2010 by qualifying for both the European Championships and the Commonwealth Games. His best finish was seventh in the 200m Butterfly and the 400m IM. He made his Olympic debut in London and competed in the same events as Delhi. In Glasgow he has increased his races and will compete in four events.

Adam is making his senior long course debut in Glasgow having broken both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke British records this season. He has enjoyed a stand out 2014 and will be looking to continue his form into the Games. He is coached by Olympian Mel Marshall at the City of Derby.

In 2013 Ben broke Mark Foster’s 10-year old British 50m Butterfly record and followed that up by breaking the 50m Freestyle British record this spring. He competed at the World Championships in 2013 which was his international debut. Glasgow will be his first multi-sport Games environment.

The 2010 season was a successful one for Joe as he won 200m IM bronze at the European Championships before scooping two silvers (200m and 400m IM) in Delhi. He competed in three events at London 2012 (200m Butterfly, 200m IM and 400m IM).

Liam is one of the country’s most successful male swimmers and is the current world record holder in the 50m Backstroke. Glasgow will be his third Games and he goes into the competition as reigning champion in both the 50m and 100m Backstroke events. He is coached by former world champion James Gibson in Loughborough.

Chris made his senior debut at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and has been a regular member of the team since. In Delhi he finished fourth in the 200m Backstroke and since moving to train with Dave McNulty has changed his focus to the sprint distances. London was his Olympic debut and he will compete in the 50m and 100m Backstroke in Glasgow.
Qualified Events: Relays
Josh has qualified for the last two World Championships (2011 and 2013) where he was a member of the 4x200m Freestyle relay teams. He featured as a reserve in 2011 but anchored the team in 2013 to an eighth place finish overall.

James is making his international debut in Glasgow. He competes for Loughborough University under the tutelage of Ian Armiger and will compete in the 100m and 200m Breaststroke. He sliced more than four seconds off his 200m Breaststroke PB to secure a career-best fourth place at the British Championships this season.

Andrew just missed out on the medals on his Commonwealth debut in Delhi four years ago with a fourth place finish in his favoured event, the 200m Breaststroke. He competed in his first Olympics in London and will face off against his training partner, Olympic bronze medallist Michael Jamieson (Scotland) in Glasgow.

Glasgow will be her first Commonwealth Games experience where she has qualified in three individual events.

Jessica won 200m Backstroke bronze at the British Championships and followed that up with silver in the same event and bronze in the 100m Backstroke at the British International Meet in June. She is coached by Mark Rose at the City of Manchester Aquatics.

This will be Tilly’s first major international competition. She secured her position on the team with a silver medal in the 200m Butterfly at the British Championships this season. She recently moved to the University of Bath and trains with Mark Skimming.

Francesca’s first major medals came in 2006 at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games where she won silver in the 4x100m Medley relay and the 4x100m Freestyle relay. She competed at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 before winning her first world medal in 2009 with silver in the 100m Freestyle. Last year she won bronze in the 50m Freestyle at the World Championships in Barcelona. She goes into Glasgow as the reigning champion in the 100m Freestyle and the 4x100m Medley relay.

Rachael is part of the National Sprint Programme and trains with James Gibson. She qualified in the 100m Butterfly for Glasgow and will go up against tough competition from her team-mates Francesca Halsall and Siobhan-Marie O’Connor.

Jessica qualified for her first Olympic Games by winning bronze in the 50m Freestyle at the 2012 British Championships. She finished fifth in 4x100m Freestyle relay in London. She has qualified for her first Commonwealth Games and will go up against some of the world’s best in the 50m Freestyle.

Danielle is competing in her first senior international competition and trains alongside Adam Peaty with coach Mel Marshall. She qualified in the 400m IM and 200m Breaststroke after winning silver and bronze respectively at the British Championships.

Amelia is a member of the National Training Centre in Bath and has qualified for her first Commonwealth Games. She was also named on the team for this year’s Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.

Siobhan-Marie was the youngest member of the swimming team at the London 2012 Olympic Games. She won her first major medal with 100m IM bronze at the 2012 European Short Course Championships. She holds the 200m IM English record and will feature in five individual events in Glasgow.

Lauren made her senior international debut at the World Championships in 2013 and reached the final of the 50m Backstroke in Barcelona. She holds the English record in the 50m Backstroke which she set in Glasgow at the trial event. She is ranked fourth in the world in the sprint event.

Molly will be making her Commonwealth Games debut and has qualified in three individual events. She recently equalled the English 200m Breaststroke record which team-mate Sophie Taylor holds. She now trains at the National Training Centre in Loughborough with Kevin Renshaw.

Elena is a member of the National Training Centre in Loughborough and is coached by Kevin Renshaw. At the British Championships she won bronze in the 200m Butterfly to secure her place on her first Commonwealth Games team.

Lizzie qualified for her first Olympics at the age of just 17 and made the final of the 200m Backstroke. In 2010 she won her first title in the 200m Backstroke at the European Championships and followed that up with silver at the Commonwealth Games in the same event. At the London Games, her second Olympics, she finished fourth in the 200m Backstroke – missing out on bronze by 0.71 seconds.
Qualified Events: S8 100m Freestyle
Steph trains at the British Para-Swimming National Performance Centre in Manchester and is coached by Rob Greenwood and Graeme Smith. After volunteering at the Paralympic Games, she made her return to swimming at the end of 2012 and she qualified for the IPC World Championships just six months later. She came home with one gold and two silver medals.
Qualified Events: 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 100m Freestyle
Glasgow is Amy’s third Games and she won silver in her first Games in the 4x100m Freestyle relay. She repeated that success in Delhi and has qualified for three individual events in 2014. She made her Olympic debut in London and she competed in the 4x100m Medley relay final.

Sophie is the British record holder for the 100m Breaststroke after enjoying a stand-out British Championships this spring. She also broke the English 200m Breaststroke record on her way to qualifying for her first Commonwealth Games and her first international competition.
Qualified Events: 200m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle
Rebecca qualified for the London Olympics after winning the 200m Freestyle at the trial event in 2012. She competed in the 200m Freestyle and finished fifth in the 4x200m Freestyle relay. Glasgow will be her second Commonwealth Games and she will go up against team-mate Siobhan-Marie O’Connor.
Qualified Events: 400m IM, 200m IM, 200m Butterfly, 400m Freestyle
Aimee made her senior international debut in 2010 at the European Championships and the Commonwealth Games. Aimee finished 11th in the 400m IM at London 2012, competing on the same day as her father Stuart Willmott when he finished 15th in the 400m IM at the 1984 Games. She holds the English record in the 400m IM which she set in January this year.
